Here's a vid of my son at a drift event. The car is stock except for solid bushings and a welded differential. He largely uses a 'clutch-kick' technique to get the car sideways (not enough power in a stock 2.4 liter KA to power-oversteer).

I have tried this a few times in his car and I usually spin out.

Hi Andy - I think this vid was taken at Gresham Motorsports Park. He travels all over GA and TN to oval tracks; he is associated with a more 'mature' drifting team (i.e. they are mostly over 25 with cash and decent cars!) so the events are generally well run. They usually rent an oval track for the day.

Cool. I'd like to give it a shot on open pavement like that where I don't have to worry about cops or light poles.

Yeah, I know, drifting isn't racing, and neither is sex, but it's still fun.
