Father in law (wife's step-father) got hit in the head HARD when his half-brained son accidentally smashed him in the noggin with a 2X4 during some kind of remodel project.

He complained of a headache, but that was about it. About an hour later, he said his stomach felt strange. He stood up, and died on the spot.

Pretty sad... My wife had a vacation back home to PA planned for that week. Which is where all of her family is. So in one way it was fortunate that she was able to be there during that sad time. Really put a damper on the whole "vacation" aspect of the trip, though.

Consequently, the day before I got the news about my FIL, I got one of those emails from a dumb-ass co-worker that said "if you do not pass this on to ten people today, you will have bad luck".

But he ended up being fired for unethical practices shortly thereafter. Maybe he didn't pass the email on to enough people either.

Anyway, just saying that head trauma is no joke!

Best of luck to a speedy recovery, Old Crusty!

Death has a funny way of screwing up a lot of stuff. Doesn't he understand that I've made plans.
