Good Morning CGs!

Well, I hope you all remembered to set your clocks forward today! We lose an hour but oh well. You'll get used to it.

Here is an extremely long article on DST - did you know it was first proposed by Benjamin Franklin and was implemented in the First World War to conserve energy? Wow, bet you didn't...

http://www.webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/index.html

So now that today's history lesson is over, the agenda for today. I finished painting the entertainment center last night. I think the paint has cured enough for me to move it downstairs. I have to reattach the doors and hinges, no big deal there. Aside from that, I'm a little sore from workouts, so I might take a day off. We'll see.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Nice little history lesson Matt. Thanks for reminding me, although my phone and computer both changed it for me unnoticed.

Its been raining for a few days now, still dreary outdoors.
My house sits up on a hill overlooking a marsh which empties into the Chesapeake Bay. The marsh is almost fully engulfed in water and looks like a giant lake out there this morning. Someone upstream is getting a lot of rain!

I'm still waiting on stuff for the car to finish the interior so I don't really have anything to do down there today, so I will probably just hang out and work on website or bug you guys here!

I just got up a little while ago, making damn sure I got that hour back. I need to get cracking - the sun is out and the Vette needs to be taken for a drive! Then reality will set in and it'll be back to bathroom renovation.

Enjoy your 23-hour Sunday!

I forgot to set my clocks ahead last night, but it was OK I just slept in a little. I realized it before I got out of bed and set the clocks in the bedroom. Then came downstairs and set the others that didn't automatically change.

I've been out in the shop working today, boring holes for the hinges on some doors and mounting the hinges. Then I worked at getting tools together for the counter top change out that I am doing this week (hopefully tomorrow, if it works for the people).

The wife is about half way home (3 hours away yet) after being gone for two weeks helping out the daughter with the newborn. I've worked at getting the house all cleaned up so she won't feel the need to get home and start picking up and cleaning.

The weather is supposed to be cloudy and seasonably warm today (mid 50's). They got the cloudy part right, but it's downright chilly. I don't think it will make the forecasted temp.

I've been busy today. Neighbor came and helped me move the entertainment center in the basement. Vacuumed, cleaned, did laundry, picked up baby toys (ugh), a few other items here and there. Also got in a very refreshing KB workout. The garage has been tied up for over a week with the EC project, so no KBs lately. Now over to the in-laws for dinner.

At the last hotel Tommy stayed in, they had to fulminate the room before any new guests could rent it.
