Rolling right along. August, can hardly wait till it's gone. Of course you seasonal Corvette users better get on the stick. Use it before you lose it. Half the season is just about over. For our teachers, early August is the beginning of the end. So enjoy what you can, take that last minute trip, drink that bottle you've been saving for a special occasion, read that book that's been sitting on the table for the past few months.
I woke up to a throbbing ........ foot. I think I must have stubbed my toe in the middle of the night a couple of nights ago. I don't remember doing it but the feeling in my left foot tells me I did. I'm pretty well rested after doing next to nothing yesterday. Have to look around the house and see if I can find my motivation. It's almost like "I've fallen and I can't get up." Have a great day everyone. Dream the impossible dream.

Good Morning Tommy!

"I just got to work and can't get up!"
Last night went to my parent's house and fixed mom's computer. My sister's kids and my dad must have thrashed it on Friday night making my 50th picture poster. One of the hard drives crashed hard and it wouldn't boot up. I'm hoping I can retrieve some data from it for them. Its funny the C: drive with OS was fine. I expected that one to be the one that was crashed. I didn't get home until late and probably am working on about 4.5 hours of sleep this morning.

There is a slight chance I could get up to Ohio this weekend for the ALMS Race. I'll know more tonight.

Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning. Got home yesterday after a few stops, unloaded then, washed the car. The house was in OK shape, no water in the basement and the house was still standing (13 yo grandson on his own through most of the day).

Tommy you're right, time is running short for us teachers. We own a time share in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. A couple years back using it interfered with the start of school so we banked it. We have been trying all summer to try and use that week, to no avail. We have given our daughter this years week thinking we were going to get to use the banked one. Well, it just isn't going to happen. So our daughter says they're not going to stay the whole week, so we are going to tag-team the week out in Pagosa. They are leaving mid-week, so the wife and I will use the second half. It's only a 5 hour drive...through the mountains, so it's works out well for us. We are taking the Corvette, so it will make it that much better.

Don, try taking the HDD out and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes or so, then stick it back in and try to recover your data. Works more often than not. But you only have a little time to get it, as it warms up it will quit again.

Quit sleepwalking T.

Cold at the house this a.m. but it'll hit 96 soon. Guess if I want to check out any hotrods, I'd better get going early. Might hit the "Big Boy's ToyStore" downtown today.

I think his problem is sleep eating, that causes him to sleep walk

Was supposed to be running right now, but the monsoon rain conditions have pushed that back a couple hours. My buddy is coming over so we can do a few miles and then change the fluid in his ps pump. He says it randomly squeaks and from what he described I told him it's normal. It's an 05 Ford Freestyle with 60,000 miles. No leaks or anything. So I told him we'll change the fluid if it makes him feel better, which it will. Hey, peace of mind is worth $8.

So this monsoon weather is back to back from yesterday. My neighbor had about 2 inches of standing water in the basement yesterday, but mine was dry. And he has 2 sump pumps, I have one. Weird. Hopefully not too much flooding.

Hope everyone has a great (and dry) day.

He may be sleeping when he's awake.

Greetings! Dull day around here, but at least it is dry. Anti-flooding mojo to those where it is not. It's been plenty hot and muggy, though, so I expect we'll be getting our turn soon.
