I'm still looking for a car for my son, so I'm wading through a bunch of CL ads. This one is amazing.

http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/cto/1889424371.html

The summary for those who don't want to click:

***I'm going to jail, I only have the memorandum title, serious buyers only!***

Ok, so the guy cheats you, what are you going to do, send him to jail?!

What the hell's a memorandum title?

I remember I had a title.

The DMV sent me a memo that I had a title?

I got busted for drugs and the cops have the real title?

In Ohio, if you have a lein on the car, you get a memorandum title.

It says the car is in your name, and identifies the lein holder.

I look on Craig's List a lot in the tool section. Never looked at cars until today, there's some strange people selling cars there.

Hi, how's it going? For sale is currently a 2001 Corvette 6-Speed Manual with 68,000miles
Awesome Shape.
All new parts and mods; new starter, new ignition, new water pump, new coolant system, new battery, new belts and hoses.
New 6000k HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights for brighter viewing of the road at night & a sporty/luxury look than stock factory headlights.
New chrome 20"inch rims and tires.
New red leather interior.

Asking $19.999 Or Best Offer

Errrr, how did a car get that messed up in 68k????

Oh, Ok.
But did he want 8,200 and you have to guess what the lein is?

So does $2600. Wonder how the T-tops work. Of course this could be a little old lady that really has no idea what she has and it could be a super good deal. If it was close by I would be cruious enough to go find out.
