Had a good day yesterday except for the rain while I did tech inspection on these cars. But the sun came out and the track dried out around 9 a.m.

Yea snot stock.

Big bucks yea and big bucks to maintain.

The guy who owns the Jag has 5 Corvettes including a Mallett.

That Datsun's fast, the guy won the SCCA ITS championship the last 3 years in a row,

Art's C5 (blue) keeps getting better evert year, this year his new motor is putting out 430 horse at the rear wheels.

Yea, I was drooling big time. But I also thought " prep time involved on this car is triple that of an open wheel".

He's going to bring it to my place in Feb. to do an annual tech inspection for 2011, it takes too long to do a full one at the track on a car like this.

Bill, do you have any more photos of the '96? Specifically of the nose. I'm interested in the aero package. I need to fab something this winter if I'm going to jump up a class and there isn't much out there on the C4 anymore...

Is the rest of the body based on a C5 design? Only the nose looks C4ish.

Yea, Jon, this one. I think it's closer to a C5. Note the parting line on the hood above the latch on the wheel well. And the slightly different color between the nose and hood.
I pulled the hood off with Bob for my tech inspection. It weighed about 10 lbs.
