This is common courtesy, but since we don't have as many race fanatics as on CF it may not be obvious; I wanted to remind everyone.
I'm out of town this weekend so I am DVR'ing every minute of coverage and will be slowing watching it as time permits. Even worse than ruining a once a week 3 hour football game with spoilers is a once a year 24 hour race... Thanks! |

So after all my gyrations and requests for no spoilers, my Honda buddy sends me a text this morning with the winners of the race. Sigh....
17 hours of recorded coverage ruined. I guess it's just not possible to avoid spoilers in the media age. |

If left up to the Speed Channel nobody would know that Corvette Racing won! LOL
Even though multiple times they made mention of how important of a win it was for the Americans, they still did not give much air time during the race or at the podium. |

Keep in mind that Speed does not control the video at LeMans, they simply commentate on the feed from French TV. That's partially why there was no coverage "tailored" to the NA market.
I do find it a bit odd that we have no American drivers in either of the Corvettes. 6 drivers, all foreign? And I'll still watch, good racing is good racing, but removing the suspense makes it far less entertaining. How good would Star Wars have been if we all knew that Vader was Luke's father? |

I believe Milner is an American...Corvette was class winner twice in GT Pro and GT Am I believe.

I understand your pain. I was recording the F1 race, and unknown to me it was red flagged for ever. After I started watching it, I realized it and after four hours I decided to go to the channel shwoing it and I got the last lap live, so I missed most of the race, yet saw the last lap. Pissed me off. Only race I watched was a ever boring, why bother anymore, NASCAR!

To tell the truth, I don't watch much anymore, I'll catch the start and maybe 5 laps and if I'm around, I catch the last 20 minutes.
And I haven't gone to a race in 15 years as a spectator (I'm a lousy spectator). I watched maybe 3 hours of Lemans (and 5 minutes of the Corvette in-car). |
