Just been one of those days, started with breakfast consisting of a cheeseburger and Corona at 9:30 am, then went to the drive thru in the bank, ran off with the tube, had to take that back like an idiot... there was a 50% chance of rain so I put the top back in the vette which forced the sun to come out and the rain warnings go away....
I'm trying to buy another one and sell mine and tried to call all three necessary people today and whaddya know... they all took off for the day...
I gave up and went to get beer....
I get to the liquor store and am at the window about to tell the man my order when I see him look over my car at something on the other side. I turn to see what and there's a state trooper with a mad face pointed at me like he was my daddy scolding me or something and I could read his lips as he told me "you pull over there right now!"
So, I did, and he walked up to the car, asked why I was in such a hurry... I told him I wasn't.. just left the office and making a beer run, wasn't really noticing my speed just keeping with others. He asked where I worked... Then I told him and he said "Well, damn, now I'm gonna have to just give you a warning... those guys up there are really good to us and take good care of us...." I very graciously thanked him, signed my warning and he told me "make sure you tell 'um you 'got away'..."
Whew.....
said I was going 68 in a 55....
I already go one speeding ticket this month, don't need a nuther

Chin up, Letty....things have a way of falling into place. Every time it gets a little rough and stressful around here, it starts to click together and then afterwards I go "that wasn't too bad after all". Keep moving and you'll make out.

Bill - I do hope you are correct. I've wanted the vert since I saw it and now that there's a possibility, things are having a way of not working out. Was about to sell my car when the gaskets blew and it hydrolocked. Now that it's fixed I like driving it again but after 11 years it's somebody else's turn. But whenever I try to pin down my financial guys and the one who got my wholesale offer for me, nobody returns calls. The one sellng me the car is getting very impatient with me.
Matt - I hope you are right also. Life has been pretty shitty to me the last couple months.
Now, if I can find a way to get out of paying the FIRST ticket

(Which by the way, was redneck in itself also.. was speeding "over 20 over" in the pickup truck... officer said he cut me a break with 'hazardous' instead of reckless. Said it won't go on my record that way but I still had to pay it.

just take a deep breath and realize one thing: you can only drink one beer at a time.

Life is much the same way... just focus on what you can... and do what is doable. The rest will fall into place!
