My kids love when the train comes by. We live not too far from some tracks and it's always a "treat" for them if we get to see one. Anytime my son hears it in the background he goes "choo choo" or "pociąg" (train in polish...sounds like po-chung). My daughter used to do the same thing, now she screams in excitement if she sees one. Very cute.

I spent a few hours last night doing some work outside. I had to set up the new fountain, change some of the wiring around inside and mount the wiring box, set the base for the pedestal and make it level, I dug up and reset the sprinkler head that was too high, cut up and bundled the old garbage edging, etc. The front is nearing completion. Back yard is the next project. Always something. The other day my wife told me she wants a brick mailbox now....geeze! Lol. I'm weighing my options with what to do there. It would look nice, I'm not sure if I can match the brick from the house since it's 10 years old already. Might get close, at least. A couple people have suggested unilock bricks for the mailbox. That would look nice, too.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Matt

Sounds like your wife is coming up with anything and everything to keep the wrenches out of your hands. Time to start thinking about a Daddy day. That's the day that Daddy gets to do what Daddy wants.

Now is the time that YOU chime in and try to convince us that everyday is Daddy Day.

Sure, Matt ..... Sure .....

Morning guys....Last Tuesday of the school year for me. Things are winding down. I played golf last night...the steak was good, the golf not so much. Cabinets and music concert tonight.

I like trains too. The Amtrak still runs through here, but I never see it, going west at 7am, returning east around 11:30pm. Other train traffic has almost stopped except for the coal train that supply the generating plant east of us 15 miles, and it runs late at night.

Howdy! It isn't raining yet, but there's plenty of time before tonight's golf league for that to get started. But it's chilly already, right on schedule.

Have a good day, everyone!

I get to finish up the flooring project this a.m.

Tom & Brad, cutting it close? Ha,............the flooring was left over from when I changed my mind & put tile in the kitchen. I figured that I had 125 sq. to do the 123 sq. guest room. But not the closet. Went to the store where I bought the flooring..........of course it's discontinued.

So, I figured WTF, it's a closet and went to HD and bought the cheapest laminate they had ($0.89).

Wednesday is the official start of the 2012 DNBFS Tour.
