What's really great is when you wake up looking at the good side of life. So many great things we have all been blessed with. It so easy to fall into the self pity pit, or get the "Why me?" syndome. That's just a waste of valuable time. I'm postive today I will be positive. What a lucky man I am.

Good Morning CGs!

Woke up at 4:30 this morning with a nasty allergy attack. Felt like someone was poking needles through my eyes. Very uncomfortable. I washed them out the best I could in the sink, didn't help. Used the neti pot, a claritin reditab, and some special soothing eye drops. Made it about 75% better. Put a cold compress over my eyes and went back to bed. How weird to have that in the middle of the night. Still not 100%, I'll take an allegra or zyrtec later and see if that helps. My allergies this year have been the worst I can ever remember.

RR #2 has been up since 6:15 and didn't want to go back down. He has developed a new aversion to sleeping in his room all of a sudden. We think it's his crib, actually. Yesterday I took the front off and installed the rail to make it a day bed. Problem with that is that if he rolls over, he falls off. So I measured and tinkered a bit, drilled a couple new holes, and mounted the front so it is resting on the floor and rises about 6-8" above the mattress so he can't roll off. The problem that just arose this week is he figured out how to climb out and that's a 3 1/2 foot drop down and we don't want him to fall out in the middle of the night. So this is a temporary solution.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes, was quite impressed with the observational powers of a cabdriver who picked him up at the train station after a vacation to the south of France. As he stepped into the cab and put his suitcase on the seat next to him, the driver surprised him by asking, "Where would you like to go, Mr. Doyle?"

Doyle asked the man how he knew who Doyle was.

The driver replied, "This morning's paper had a story about you being on vacation in Marseilles. This is the taxi stand where people who return from Marseilles always come. Your skin color tells me that you have been on vacation. The ink spot on your right index finger suggests to me that you are a writer. Your clothing is very English, and not French. I deduce that you are Sir Arthur Conan Doyle."

"That, and your name is on your suitcase."

Sherlock Holmes and Watson

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson went on a camping trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine they lay down for the night, and went to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend awake. "Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

Watson replied, "I see millions and millions of stars."

"What does that tell you?" Holmes questioned.

Watson pondered for a minute. "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?"

Holmes was silent for a minute, then spoke. "Watson, you idiot. Someone has stolen our tent."

Funny pics there, Brad.

TB - good luck with the surgery. If you knee-d anything, don't hesitate to ask

Took a trip with RR #2 to a few stores, picked up a couple items. Came home and knocked out a couple little projects, new filter and seal on the house water filter, new shelf in RR #2's closet. RR #1 is at school today. Once I pick her up it's a trip to walmart then home for dinner. Oh yeah, a load of laundry too. List gets longer every day....

Matthew

Gonna get a workout in now.
