Sue gets the stitches out today at 10:30. She has a few jobs on hold due to the surgery and another one in the wings. Getting antsy to say the least. I told her, it takes as long as it takes. You can't rush the healing process. Of course my schedule has been all screwed up too. Having another person around the house will do that.

The hurricane shutter guy told me we had two ahead of us when we signed the contract and that he'd start in a couple of weeks. That couple of weeks has come and gone. The other day he said we had 5 in front of us. This is supposedly a good Christian man, a military vet. Like many contractors that I've dealt with before him, he's full of shit. He has a good chunk of the money. I'm not worried. He's not gonna skip. Just getting him to the job site is the challenge right now. Maybe I should surprise him and be waiting for him at the shop in Key Largo. Just let him know that I know how to find him.

Good Morning CGs!

Tommy, that sounds like a good idea, meeting him at the shop. Sound like he needs a little fire lit under his rear to get moving.

I'm gonna pick up my car tonight from my buddy's shop. Tint looks good and he did like a 3 or 4 stage polish job on the paint. He sent me a cell phone pic or two and it looks great. I'll post photos later.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Greetings! Gloomy-looking day here, sounds like we have several days of rain in front of us. Naturally we have tickets to the Twins game on Saturday, the worst-looking day of the bunch. C'est la vie.

Stay dry, Gurus!

Morning guys....Brad, I hope not. We need the moisture, so I hope we get some rain. They are giving us a 50% chance today, and it kind of feels like it this morning.

Leg was achy all night, I think it was from my PT session as they worked me pretty hard and I pushed myself too. My daughter's old van, (Chevy Venture with almost 200K)came up with chocolate milk oil. Yea a freaking head gasket. It isn't worth repairing, so the last couple days I've helped them search for a decent car they can afford. We came up with a 99 Grand Prix GT with 75k. So today I'm going to help them clay bar and buff it out and get a good wax on it. Hopefully they will take care of it.

I had a 99 grand prix as a business vehicle, really liked it.
A friend of mine has a 99 GPX(whatever, the supercharged) one, he put 250k business miles on it w/o a major repair.

The wife's car is an 03 Bonneville (supercharged), we have over 100k with no major issues. It should be a good car for them.

I spent five hours this afternoon working on the paint of the Grand Prix. The previous owner, didn't take too much care. There were some pretty good scratches down the passenger side rear fender. I got them mostly corrected. With that much time I only got the passenger side done. I still have the drivers side to do, and some work on the interior.

Well, i'm not sure if Brad got his rain today, but it is sprinkling here. Come on rain.

Hopefully it works out well. Keep an eye on the oil level, the 3.8 liters have a history of intake gasket problems.

Yea, I know, Matt. The guy we bought it from (a small independent dealer, whom we have dealt with a couple tomes before), said he checked it pretty close. Other than that. That 3.8 is a really good engine.

Yessir, we got plenty of rain. And 2 more houses got hit by lightning here in Apple Valley today - that's 3 in the last week! Enough already :-P

Awfully nice of you to spiff up the GP for them, Tom!
