just rememered...when drove to tech school i got on her a lil in 1st and 2and n hit 3rd but backed off gas and could feel shifter jumpin a lil...hadnt done it driving normal...and werent on it that hard but could feel it shake in my hand... worn fork? simply worn 3rd any idears?? last question think ill get away with just driving it being careful of hard decal. in 3rd ???

thank you people...next question how the L do you git under these things all the time???? i have floor jacks etc but they dont git it non to high...wish i had a car lift ...bike lifts were best thing i ever bought fer shop

Series 4 Corvettes dont have trans mounts. They connect to the c-beam

again...cant check cause now cars in tech shop...but sure hope you cats is right...sure felt like that shifter were shakin in my hand (back n forth) like wantin to pop out a gear...would think (yes i do occansionally cf) loose c beam wood make it feel like raising up n down...so tell me im wrong people i wont mind (rather tightun some bolts then fug with tranny.. paps

aint checked c beam yet...but its ony in 3rd that ya can feel the very light shimmy (id call it) im ganna go wid worn 3rd er shift fork...3rd seems to be the most used gear fer my arears speed limits... ifn hold shifter faward its more noticable...

the shifter itself can wear... so you might be getting some of that.

A loose c-beam, in this case, would cause a side to side rocking. The c-beam is mounted to the side the transmission, and bolted up vertically.

If it goes loose, the first symptom is a side to side rocking. If it's REALLY loose, then it would result in the up down motion you are expecting. But if it was that loose, there would be all sorts of wacky sounds and clunks.
