Good Morning CGs!
Welcome to the first official day of summer. We are going to see a high of 90* today. Maybe some storms later in the evening. Last night we took my FIL out for dinner to celebrate his bday. Went to the same restaurant we took RR#1 to last week for her "graduation" celebration. Food was excellent again and plentiful. What irritates me is that my in laws think they have to pay for everything or show us their love by giving us money. My MIL tried to slip a $100 bill in my pocket for dinner. How is it us treating a family member out to dinner for their bday if I'm not paying for it? Anyone else have that experience? Hope everyone has a great day! Matthew |

Ápaca secá!
I was awakened about 3:30 by Mother Nature's subwoofer - rolling thunder that shook the house, interspersed with the occasional *BANG* that would sit you straight up. Hard to imagine a louder sound on earth. A lot of wind and rain, and some pea-to-marble-sized hail, too. On my drive in this morning, I saw a number of street rods and classic cars out on the road, despite the rain. There must be a show somewhere this weekend. Always a day-brightener to see them out and about. Have a good day, Gurus! |

Morning guys....To answer Marcus' question, we are in Stockton, CA. Apparently, it is a seedy town, as Bill is worried about us. We found a good motel in the northern part of town, so it will be an easy exit for us to head north to visit family. Talked to a cousin last night and was told to come to the aunt's house where we stayed in 1960. Other Family members would be there today. So that is the plan. Marcus, you can check out my post in yesterday's chat on page 2.
Got to go eat breakfast, load the car and head north. |
