Let's talk more chit than chat today.


Wow, who hit the time accelerator. It's the 5th already. The one good thing is we are having comfortable mornings and evenings now. Mid day is still producing dripping sweat.
On the chit side, My son has refused to leave the house and we have begun the legal eviction process. Today I send out a 3 day notice to pay up. Next up, a visit to the courthouse in about a week and a half. If he pays up (doubtful), on the 14th I'll give him a 15 day letter for the termination of the monthly lease. Pretty much, any way he turns he's gonna run smack dab into me (and the court). It's taking a little longer but it's still gonna get done. Quite frankly, wherever he ends up is of no consequence to me. Bad choices can have negative consequences. It's a live and learn world. Some people just have to learn the hard way.

Tommy I keep hoping that situation would get better.....it sounds drastic having to revert to legal resolutions to deal with this. I hate to see your family torn apart, there has to be other options. Praying for that whole deal for you...

Husker Game day and I will be headed in shortly. We play the fighting Illini and our backup QB is starting which I think is better then our starting QB. Going to be cooler with temps in the 50's...it's like 39 out right now....

I may take the GS in.....have a good day off Guru's...

Morning guys....So sorry things have come to that Tommy. It has to be tough on you to have to resort to legal action. Sometimes tough love is required. Cold here this morning, made it down to the 39 they were predicting. I'm headed to the shop to work for a while, putting doors on cabinets.

Tonight we are going to a dinner theater and probably to the casino in Dodge City for a short time.

Howdy! Kind of a dreary day here, but I don't think we're supposed to get any more rain - it was coming down pretty good last night. I should get the Vette all buttoned up this morning, just a few odds and ends to attend to. We're going to a wedding later for a relative we don't know well, but my MIL wants us to take her. So I guess we'll get a free rubber chicken dinner, grin and bear it.

Mojo to those digging out from the snow storm out west. And to your family, Tommy - hope this all gets resolved soon.

I'm doing weed control today. The kind you do with Round Up. I did the front and side yard a few days ago. Today I did the back. It's part of the Fall clean up campaign. The better I get a handle on it now, the easier it will be during the winter months. I have to pressure wash the front walk and tortoise pen area and spread a couple of tons of mulch. The big yard looks beautiful but comes with a lot of work. I have to add some plants to the front too. I've been working on low budget projects. I have enough stuff to do around here without spending much. Have to wash the green stuff off the vinyl on the carport too. Getting in a good workout. Tomorrow I get to go visit a couple of job sites with my wife, then go visit with her aunt for a few hours. I'm gonna take a day to myself next week and just disappear.

The Vette is all back together, took it for a test drive. No leaks. seems to run a smidgen better with this opti, mayhaps. At least the engine is nice and clean. I cleaned up most of my mess, too - now I'm just enjoying a frosty beverage before I have to get ready to go to the wedding.

NEWS FLASH: Reno, Nevada, Bird nest explodes and takes out a 5 lb. concrete roof tile.
Home owner is puzzled, Home owner BillH states "I didn't know bird's nests could explode. I wish Reverend Stig was here, he could explain it."

I'm all done for the day (Except for feeding the pets). I'm tired and sweaty. Plan for the evening is take a shower, put on my comfy shorts and tank top and make dent in my recliner cushions.

I back home this evening from the dinner theater. Had a good time it was fun. Didn't get to go to the casino as when we just pulled into the dinner theater parking lot the couple I was with got a message that there 3 day old grandson had gotten sick and had to be taken to the hospital. All the while we were there the mom was antsy about hearing news and we decided that we should just go home after the play. On the way home we got the news that the baby was doing pretty well and they were running tests.

Sorry to hear of your situation at home Tommy - prayers that this will all work out, not good to have family splits.
