Thanks M.

The 56 Mustang is louder (which is great).

Gary driving, me tweeking rather than correcting. Gary became an instructor this year.

The Mustang is pretty damn fast considering the technology.

Speed turning into the "S'es" off the main straight is 120.

Jump to 3 min. 50 sec. to start.

Damn, I can't tell you how much this website is pissing me off,

Guess you'll have t copy & paste.

Be careful with those orange cones, Tommy might try to run them over

I would love to do a track day there.

The track is fun but the 3 tracks over the hill in Ca. are much better.

To give you an idea of speed, a Corvette can hit 125 before turning into the "S'es" at the end of the main straight and they need to hit the brakes a bit.

The Formula Atlantic that I test drive can hit 155 at the same point and you don't lift on turn in.

Love it!

Your old C4 is hauling the mail down the straight and thru those "S'es".

Thanks Will

I was running about 85% since I was discussing lines with the Z28 driver.

I could turn in to the S'es without lifting but the 100K mile bushings on the 92 make that a tad shakey.

And, I was short shifting at 4,800.

As a point of reference, the difference between racecars and street cars, this is a vid from 2005 when we rented the track for a private test day.

Unfortunately the camera was an old, low definition Panasonic that suffered from ignition interference and the sound won't work with the newer Windows.

This is on the short course at the track.

The car is a Formula SCCA open wheel.
It's a good bit slower than the Formula Atlantic.

Note the speed difference in the turn that leads on to the main straight (at about 30 sec.0 and the speed in the S'es.

Them cones are confusing. They don't have a pointer. What side should you be on? This is how I see it. You have posers, street racers and light to lighters, 1/8th, 1/4 and mile drivers, autocrossers, HPDE, then track rats. Yes, HPDE looks like a lot of fun and I really should be doing it. My excuse is ........ If only ...........

Well, I've never entered a car in a HPDE.
