Original and incredibly important Jordan Playboy advertisement created by Ned Jordan for the June 23rd, 1923 issue of the Saturday Evening Post.

Possibly final version of my re-creation, created in InDesign CC 2014, with ad copy suitably revised for my car. I know the font for "Chevrolet" is off, but I'm pretty certain Ned Jordan hand drew his. In general, I'm fairly happy with this recreation. I may end up messing more with the photo, which was taken a few miles west of Laramie in May 2014.

I just make bad choices on how to spend it.

This is for a tiny part of the upcoming book, so it was a little easier to justify.

Circa 1984

Somewhere west of Laramie

On I80, you notice that there are gates on the onramps to close them off.....

You take more notice of them if you're in a blizzard.......

Driving a U-Haul truck with 2 feet of play in the steering wheel....

Which makes hitting the 2 foot snow drifts interesting...

Especially when you are towing an open trailer with your stripped down 1967 Corvette on it.....

And you have no choice but to take refuge in Rawlins, WY....

A VERY boring place to be stuck for 2 days in a blizzard....

And a 17 1/2 hour drive (non-stop) to hit Reno so you can go to work the next day..............

Ah, memories............

We passed through Rawlins on our way from Laramie to Rock Springs. You are correct - there isn't much there ...
