Good Morning CGs!

Welcome to September. Can you believe it?

Strange weather here. Supposed to be in the 90s the next week. I was getting ready to close the pool because it's been so cold. I kind of neglected it and the water got cloudy. Yesterday I super shocked it with two bottles and ran the pump for the last 24 hours. Should be good now. Kids are waiting for it to warm up. Maybe by Thursday it will be 72-74. It was 68 yesterday morning.

I went to the parts store to get spark plugs on Saturday. The girl told me they had 3 of what I wanted in stock. I told her that would be great if I had a 3 cylinder, but I have an 8. And she couldn't understand why I didn't want to substitute a different brand, etc. Some people. So I ordered them from Rock Auto. So much for supporting local business.

Kids are in school then I have some free time. Cut the grass yesterday, so I guess it's time to clean up the garage.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Party's over. Time to catch up on EVERYTHING. I'll be busy all week. Start with the basics. Cutting grass and vacuuming the fish pond, cutting back overgrowth and so on. Have to charge up the batteries on everything and give everything a bath. Carnival Cruise Lines knows how to spoil you while your onboard. No cooking, cleaning or routine laborious tasks. Just enjoy your stay and do as little or as much as you want to do. Now I'm back. No housekeepers, cooks or maintenance men. I can see how someone might retire on the cruise ships. Cost less than an assisted living facility to boot.

Tea nubunubu mataa!

It's time once again to flip my Corvette calendar to a new page. This month it's a '98 pace car. Not my cup of tea, but I remember seeing a new one on the showfloor. Gonna be steamy out there today, but I'll take steamy over some other s-words.

Have a good day, all!

Morning guys... My Corvette Calendar has a War Bonnet Yellow 72. Nice looking car! Steamy here today as well. Headed to the shop to get some things done before it gets too hot out there.

My new AC unit is supposed to be here Thursday, probably be freight damaged and I'll have to reject it, so it will go back and they'll send another and it will get here just in time for the cool down....just my type of luck.

Stay cool guys.

My Corvette calendar has a custom Pete with a Texas square front bumper and big 8" chrome stacks.....wait how'd that happen.......yep hot here today as we finish up the season on corn and soybeans. Most will make the last turn this week with the pivots.

I remember the 78 Pace cars and the furor there was over those as some people threw big cash at em, then stored them away so they could make a mint down the road.......they seemed not to notice there were 6,000 of them out there, not exactly a limited edition......

well I better get going it's big Tuesday so gotta lot of miles to go.......have a safe day Guru's...

What do you call a boomerang that falls in some dirty water and doesn't come back?

A stick in the mud.

What do you call a boomerang that falls in some dirty water and doesn't come back?

A stick in the mud.

This guy wakes up one morning to find a gorilla in his tree. He looks in the phone book for a gorilla removal service until he finds one.
"Is it a boy or girl Gorilla?" the service guy asks.
"Boy," is the man's response.
"Oh yeah, I can do it. I'll be right there", says the service guy.
An hour later the service guy shows up with a stick, a Chihuahua, a shotgun, and a pair of handcuffs. He then gives the man some instructions: "Now, I'm going to climb this tree and poke the gorilla with the stick until he falls. When he does, the trained Chihuahua will bite the gorilla's testicles off. The gorilla will then cross his hands to protect himself and allow you to put the handcuffs on him."
The man asks, "What do I do with the shotgun?"
The service guy replies, "If I fall out of the tree before the gorilla, shoot the Chihuahua."

Made a lot of progress today on the cabinets. Spraying and assembling the base cabinets...and even getting some of the drawer slides mounted and the lazy-Susan installed.
