Morning guys... Sunday morning and , apparently, everyone has slept in. I know I did. A bit cooler today and I 'm not sure what is happening this morning, but this afternoon, we get to go back out to the Speedway to pack everything up and haul it back. Tomorrow we pack up and head home. Daughter and SIL both have taken the day off, basically to recoup.

Hidey-ho! The week up north went waaaaay too fast, back to the grindstone tomorrow. We had a great time and ate too much. I saw quite a few Vettes still out and about during the week - on the way home, we followed a flatbed with a decent-looking red '55 Vette on it for quite a while - poor thing didn't have a top on it, and it was drizzling. Hopefully the interior was already trashed.

Enjoy your Sunday, Gurus!

Good Morning CGs!

Where has the weekend gone?

We had a nice family day yesterday. Took the kids on the train to downtown Chicago. We walked to the Millenium Park and saw the giant bean (a huge silver sculpture, it's a famous attraction here). Then we walked to the lakefront and had lunch. We walked around a bit more and saw some more sculptures, etc and did some shopping. Then we drove back home and stopped for dinner with my mom at a restaurant. After that we all watched a movie on the couch at home. About as good of a day as you could have asked for. The weather was fantastic.

Today we have a Christening to go to. Should be a good time.

How was everyone's weekend?

Marcus - hope the key issue got addressed without issue.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Practice makes perfect, Marcus ;-)

Meanwhile, I just saw this stuff mentioned on the e-cig forum, never heard of it. Comes in different colors, too - interesting:

Rain today hasn't started yet. I took my labs to Pismo beach yesterday. My chocolate lab is dyeing and the beach is his favorite place. Bone cancer. This year's election is the biggest clown show ever.

Well, I found something else to fix this morning. I noticed yesterday that the dryer vent was mis-aligned, so I tore into it and find they just tried to butt them together and duct tape it and that joint failed badly. I took the tape off and it was full of lint where it got caught on the mis-alignment. I went back to Lowes, again, and bought a connector, some aluminum tape and a crimping tool.

The connector would have made the pipe too long and caused the vent outlet to stick out of the wall too far. So it was a good thing I bought the crimping tool as I just crimped the outlet end of the one tube and inserted it into the inlet end of the other tube. Then sealed it good with the aluminum tape. Better than new.

Getting close to the time we head out to the big BBQ and see how they faired and start loading the stuff up to bring home.

I trust everyone will have a great day.

No where near f'in plumbing. If I screw this up, no water running everywhere.

We got all the stuff hauled back from the BBQ competition. They said it was the fastest cleanup and trip they've had before. And thanked us for all the help.
