To vote....and vote often.....I voted yesterday since I am going to be out of town today working.....already 1400 folks have voted in our small village which is a lot I hear so maybe that means something......this day will prove interesting........very interesting......

Prayers for your Sister Tom.....that's a tough deal.....

So I did buy the ultra light Smith & Wesson revolver to be my hold out weapon or boot gun as I like to call them....14 oz loaded....11.6 oz empty.....really light.....its a .357 Mag but shoots .38's also......

I took it down to where we shoot on the acreage and started feeding 125 grain .38 special ammo through it and at 25 feet I was hitting water bottles and the kick was minimum.......then I switched to 125 grain .357's and holy moly it does talk back to you.....yowzer.......it was not enough to make me flinch but after 10 rounds I was ready to go back to the .38's to plink around with......

It was also unseating my .357 Winchester ammo.....which is a nasty habit with these ultralites I hear.......the problem is in the ammo and I am on a quest to find some rounds that won't do this.....I shoot 4 rounds and the fifth round in the cylinder is starting to get longer as the bullet pulls out of the brass case......see the pics below.....it will jam the cylinder as this was about to do......its a weird deal but that's what happens when you feed a light gun a big caliber.......maybe you gun guys know more about that....it has to do with the crimping of the bullet in the shell.........that's what I am reading anyway.......

I am checking into Black Hills Ammunition which I hear is highly touted in some circles......more on that later......

Health mojo for your sister, Tom.

I seem to have good days and tired days. Yesterday was a tired day. My get up and go got up and left. I need more power!

Morning guys....Up at normal time (by the clock). Trying to figure out what to do, after my hiatus yesterday. It was a good thing.

Thanks for the MOJO guys, sis can use it. Yesterday was a good day for her.

I need to get with the guy I built the ramp for today as he was calling for me yesterday and Rosie told him I'd be back today. Not sure what he wants, maybe to pay me.

Have a great day!

CLOUDY AND WET IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, HALF INCH OF RAIN LAST NIGHT. THE CHEROKEES ARE HEADED TO THE POLLS. I'LL GO IN ABOUT 0900, THE ON-THE-WAY-TO-WORK FOLKS SHOULD BE DONE BY THEN.

ELECTIONS ARE NOT AS MUCH FUN AS THEY ONCE WERE, A HUNDRED YEARS OR SO AGO ELECTION DAY MEANT FREE BOOZE, B-B-Q, AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR EVERYONE. KILLJOYS HAVE TAKEN THE FUN OUT OF A LOT OF THINGS. THEY ARE HAUNTED BY THE SUSPICION THAT SOMEWHERE, SOMEONE IS HAVING A GOOD TIME & LAUGHING.

MARCUS, YOU'RE DIALED IN ON YOUR AMMO PROBLEM, HEAVY BULLET, LIGHT PISTOL, STRONG RECOIL, WEAK CRIMP ON THE CASE MOUTH. EASY FIX IF YOU RELOAD. .357 IN A BELLY GUN IS OVERKILL, IMHO.

BEST WISHES FOR YOUR SISTER, TOM.

Hidey-ho! Busy here since the git-go. Another nice sunny day, I'll take it. I wish the leaves would finish falling so I could be done with yardwork.

Have a good day, all!

Got up the gumption to trim all the palm trees around the yard. Weed wacker is coming out next followed by the lawnmower. If I keep it up it will be a productive day. Mom is in the hospital due to all the stress. Sis had surgery to relieve some of the pressure in her brain. Doc said no guarantees. The surgery could kill her because she is so weak. She must have been built by Timex. She "Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin." This is just one of her multiple health problems. She has an inoperable tumor pressing against her brain. She might actually improve some if they relieve the pressure in her head. Wonders of modern science.

Did my civic duty and voted today.... doesn't matter in Illinois, though. The corrupt Democratic political machine in Chicago has this state locked down as "D" in the ol' electoral college. Time for the USA to join the cyber era and move to popular vote. Then your one vote could matter...

Had plans to work around the house today, but those were foiled by weather.

Made it to teacher/parent conferences. Both children are child prodigies, just like their old man. Must run in the family.

Tommy, hope the whole family pulls through with the health issues.

Thanks, Matt. Sis's surgery was postponed till Thurs. They found mom has a 75% blockage in her right leg and will go to surgery tomorrow. The reason she went in was chest tightness. I've been somewhat emotionally numb lately. There's always something going on ........ Things beyond my control, so, I let go ...........
