CLOUDY, WINDY, AND NOT SO COLD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. A GLOOMY DAY LOOMS OVER THE CHEROKEES. IT'S A "TURN ON ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE HOUSE AND PRETEND THE SUN IS SHINING" DAY.

"Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded."

Same here.....gloomy....there are actually places that the sun shines more than 300 days a year......but its not here......Yuma AZ is the sunniest place to be with Phoenix next and some California towns in the mix. Reno has a lot of sunshine.......

The record to most consecutive days of sunshine though goes to St. Petersburg FL when between 1967 and 69 the sun was out for 768 days straight....... wow....

Cloudiest places start with Seattle which can go weeks without sun and fun.........

Ok on with the day.......I am just hanging out here today.....I may take a shower......but will take a poll on whether I need to or not.... naps and some football. I worked in the office yesterday and Uwoman turned the house into Christmas......very nice!

Stay tucked in Guru's.....

Hidey-ho! Looks like there's several inches of snow out there, and I hear the plow nearby. Apparently the snowblower will see some duty today. The snow is tapering off, should be done soon. There are rumors of another 10-12" next weekend. I guess we will have our first white Christmas in 3 years.

Have a good day, all!

Missed chat for a couple of days. First off: Tommy, very sorry to hear about the passing of your sister. Even though she had been ill, it's never easy.

Snow yesterday and more snow today. I have to drive to a Christmas party for the kids in a bit. Hopefully the roads aren't too treacherous.

In good news, I received my final acceptance letter from VW. I've scheduled my buyback date for 12/23. Merry Xmas to me (in the form of a large check). I'm just happy to get the space in my driveway back. Hmmmm....what tools should I buy first with the proceeds

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

The weather geniuses had said we'd get 3-4 inches of snow last night. We got about 8. This morning they said it would quit snowing around 11AM today. It is still snowing.

Hey guys...started early today. This was beirock day. Our KofC council did our annual Beirock sale. I was there at 7:20 to prep for the onslaught of making bread dough, and baking the 'rocks'. For our northern friends in Nebraska, these are Runza. We were going great guns, when we ran into a bad batch yeast and had one batch of dough that didn't want to rise, We let it sit for a long time thinking it would rise and didn't very much. We went ahead and used it and the 'rocks' ended up OK, but the wait put us behind and the batch we started after that, we ended up throwing out and started over, which, also put us behind. We ended up doing about 185 dozen. After cleanup and delivering what we had to, I got home about 5.

My feet were tired, my back aching, but satisfied with what we got done.

It was a good day weather-wise. low 30's at the start, partly cloudy, it warmed to the mid 40's.
