Looks like John was up most of the night giving us updates from LeMans. I slept in 'til 8:30. Rosie went on a bike ride while I watched Power Block.Not a lot planned for today. A cold front moved through last night and cooled everything down, looking for a high today of low 80s. Upper 60 right now.

Hidey-ho! If I didn't set a 2017 sleep-in record, I came pretty darned close. And this despite my neighbor's incessant mowing - perseverance wins the day. Meanwhile, it may only reach 70 today, and it is windy to boot.

CLOUDY,DRIPPY NOW, HAD SOME MORE LIVELY WEATHER THIS MORNING.
AT LEAST THE LIGHTS DIDN'T GO OUT. SEEMS TO BE CLEARING SOME NOW. ONE AMUSING THING YESTERDAY WAS WATCHING THE HUMMINGBIRDS TRY TO REFUEL DURING "LULLS" IN THE STORM. THEY COULDN'T KEEP STATION: EITHER THE WIND WOULD BLOW THEM AWAY FROM THE FEEDERS OR BLOW THE FEEDERS AWAY FROM THEM. Happy Father's day gang. We went to the San Diego Zoo yesterday so today is a day of recovery. We had a great time.

I am an avid fan of your updates John.......keeps me caught up as I come and go during the race...... well done!
Must have seen 100 Corvettes out today.....makes me so mad mine is in the shop waiting for a starter..... dang it...... my fault I should have taken it in earlier but I was convinced it was the battery........ beautiful day here ....... guess I will go mow...... Tom how did you do on finding a room up in the Hills for the Rally.....? |

I'll do some more calling tomorrow. We have friends who live in Chadron. We may drive up on Tuesday and stay there Tuesday night. Then drive on up Wednesday.

Good Evening CGs!
Happy Father's Day to all. Ended up over at the outlaws this afternoon for some BBQ. Mom was there, too. Had a nice meal. Got a few gifts, as well, though I never really need or expect anything. Not sure if I mentioned it, but the ice maker that was replaced on Tuesday...stopped working on Wednesday. So they'll be back out this Wednesday to re-repair it. I think it's a solenoid responsible for dispensing the water into the ice maker, but what do I know? Clearly not as much as the "technician" who fixed it last time... Hope everyone had a great weekend! |
