IT'S RAINING ON THE CHEROKEES THIS MORNING, IN DEFIANCE OF THE WEATHER BOFFINS. GOT ANOTHER COON TO TRANSPLANT, THE THIRD THIS WEEK. THE TRANS-NEOSHO COON COUNT IS ESCALATING RAPIDLY.

GOT A GUNSHOW IN TULSA TOMORROW, WE'LL SET UP THIS AFTERNOON. DARLING WIFE IS OFF TO FAYETTEVILLE TO STAY WITH THE KIDS WHILE SON & DIL ARE AT MAYO. DON'T KNOW HOW LONG THAT WILL LAST. I COULD GET USED TO LIFE WITHOUT SUPERVISION :-)

When I'm left to my own devices I find peace and quiet.

Coons are gnarly and feisty little creatures when caged. Musky to boot.

Morning guys...Slept in today. Going to be cool again today with a chance for some moisture. We got a little rain last night...don't know how much as I haven't gone out to check.

A little work to do in the shop...that's about it.

Been busy today. Had some work related stuff to handle on my day off so I had to drop the kids off at Grandma's. They don't complain about that. Kind of like Gris being left to his own devices....they do whatever they want. Time to pick them up and beat some discipline back into them.

working in the office and now taking a break for a cup of hot joe and a Nature Valley protein bar..... mmmmmm.....

Going to Kansas tomorrow in the Corvette..... that will be fun....I have not hardly put a thousand miles on it this year......I better get going......August is neigh....

I was working with a pvc connector today that had tubing coming from one end of it. The tubbing had turned brittle. Carefully I took a small screwdriver, using diligent care, tried to pry the connector from the tubing. I knew I had to be careful or the screwdriver might slip an potentially impale my fingers ..... DOH!

Well you know....the food is good and he is safe from predators......what is not to love..... most of ours are the ho hum variety....they are so fat they can't move well enough to get into any kinda rage......all 8 of them.....

Lots of work today in the shop. Working on #1s dog pen. ore or less done except for the top and doors. Couldn't pick up the spindles as we had to special order them and they will be delivered Tuesday......that's pushing it a bit as we will be packing up to go to KC on Thursday and Friday (Leaving Friday after #2 gets off work). I'll "get 'er done"

Sat out on the front porch this evening until the severe thunder-boomers came through...lots of wind and a little rain.
