Good morning, all!

The first step to getting the 1985 judged in late September is getting it through state inspection in early August. So, we're on that today.

One of the (young) folks working at the garage told me the car was beautiful—maybe even the C4s have their time …

… no problems, so I'm back home already.

Used to be a car a decade or 2 old garnered some respect. Now 30+ years and you might get a random nod of approval. Ah, I do it for me. I like it. That's what's important.

Sue's surgery went fine. BIL and sis visiting today.

Greetings! Golf plans got derailed by Mother Nature. Sounds like we will just get together for lunch, talk smart and solve all the world's problems instead.

Glad to hear Sue's surgery went well, Tommy.

Stay dry, yawlz!

Good Morning CGs!

I'm on vacation with the family this week. Enjoying it quite a bit. We're visiting family in Arizona.

Tommy, glad to hear the surgery went well.

John, glad the car inspection didn't have any hiccups.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Ahhh Arizona.....good in the winter....really really hot in the summer....

Well I played a whole 18 holes of golf yesterday.... 3 man Scramble....I was fortunate to be paired with 2 guys who could crush the ball......but my short game was awesome....... I hadn't played for about 3 years but after the first 4 holes to warm up I was at my normal game...... surprisingly my back is no that bad today..... I think I will be able to walk again by noon......

Anyway we finished at 1 under par.... which was not bad and I won a pin prize..... the best thing was I only lost 1 ball all day....... that's a good day at golf for me........

Got the Fiddysix back and going to do a couple of things to it today....then we are going to take it in to church tonight..... window works like brand new.......because it is brand new......

Have a melodious day Guru's......

That's the thing—we can still do the stuff; it just takes longer to recover …

Ivelis is with her mom at Longwood Gardens. Instead of keeping the television on while I work, I'm doing something strange and actually listening to entire albums from my youth. First up: Zenyatta Mondatta, by The Police (1980).

Next: So, by Peter Gabriel (1986)

Hounds Of Love, Kate Bush (1985)

Little light shining
Little light will guide them to me
My face is all lit up
My face is all lit up
If they find me racing white horses
They'll not take me for a buoy

Let me be weak, let me sleep and dream of sheep
Oh I'll wake up to any sound of engines
Every gull a seeking craft
I can't keep my eyes open
Wish I had my radio
I'd tune into some friendly voices

Talking 'bout stupid things
I can't be left to my imagination
Let me be weak, let me sleep and dream of sheep
Ooh, their breath is warm
And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
Like poppies, heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

The Golden Age Of Wireless, Thomas Dolby (1982)

Hey guys...Busy day here in KC. Rosie, the daughters, and the granddaughters went to the baby shower for niece(cousin). While that happened, SIL and I went to Home Depot to buy materials to rebuild the back porch/landing/stairs. Took most of the afternoon and into the evening but we got the main one done. Tomorrow, before we leave, I’ll probably get the the stair stringers cut for the secondary exit. Hopefully we can get them done before we have to head west. We do have to go home tomorrow, as we have #2 and two GSs with us and she has to work Monday.

Glad Sues surgery went well. Glad you played well Marcus, it’s like riding a bike, it comes back pretty quick. John, glad you got through step one without issue.

Need to hit the hay, got early church (7: 30) then build those steps, then a long trip home
