Nope, they don't want to hear logic. Our sun is a star and is aging.
Been MIA all weekend, worked Friday for extra cash, didn't feel good all weekend and just sat around Saturday, although I had big plans to deep clean the house. sunday got a few things done then sat in the pool, just too freaking hot out. Supposed to be 100 and 101 respectively tomorrow and Thursday. Have a school vehicle due in today for wrap discussion, guessing they'll get it here the hottest part of the day. I need to bring a change of clothes up here in a go bag for days like this if I have to be outside. I can't stand having to sit here all funky. It's gonna be hotter than a wore out Dewalt blade cutting off a catalytic converter this week.

WORKING ON THE FEEDERS MADE ME THINK:
THE OTHER DAY I WAS CHECKING A FEEDER TO SEE IF IT WAS DRY WHEN A BOLD LITTLE HEN CAME UP AND HOVERED RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE THEN HIT THE FEEDER AND TRIED TO DRINK IT DRY. I STOOD THERE AND WATCHED HER FOR A WHILE BEFORE I BACKED OFF. AS SOON AS I DID FAFNIR, THE GUARDIAN OF THE SUGAR WATER, ZOOMED IN TO DRIVE HER AWAY.

I THINK SHE KNEW HE WAS AFRAID TO COME CLOSE WITH ME STANDING THERE. BIRD-BRAIN?

THESE FEMALES ALWAYS KNOW JUST WHAT THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH :-)

GRIS, sorry to hear about your high school friend. About your ankle ..... Wounded Knee! Wounded Knee!

Got an offer on the property but without what's on it. Told the potential buyer the offer would have to be higher if we were going to have to clear the property. We would really rather sell it as a business in one transaction. But if the buyer accepts the terms we offered we will sell the property and liquidate the contents over a 6 month period. Another had half the money but the interest rates for the other half stopped them in their tracks. Sue was talking about continuing landscaping afetr the sale and I suggested she consider retiring from landacping and just operating the home nursery on a smaller scale. Like 3 days a week or on sheduled appointments. She has her long time bird and butterfly clients that would keep her busy part time. I could live with that. First ... have to sell the nursery. Can't put the cart before the horse. Doesn't really matter if it takes 6 months or 6 years to sell. The business turns a tidy profit. The only problem is it dilutes time for leisure activity. I've been promoting more leisure time. I'm not gonna live forever.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Hot and humid here today.

Andy, glad you guys weren't affected by the weather problems out there.

Gris, sorry to hear about your friend.

Tommy, sounds like a good idea to me. Semi-retired life is the way to go. I keep telling that to my father in law but he wants to work 5-6 days a week.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I read somewhere that you need at least 80% of your pre retirement yearly income..... that means you are needing around 2 million bucks cranking out the income bucks.... I don't believe that is what the average savings are for most folks.... I think it would take at least $80 Large a year to pay the bills and have some extra to play...... that would be after taxes....

This economic climate is stealing our money faster than we can make it.... with tax rates and inflation.... retirement will be for only the top 25% of earners soon I'm thinking.....

Been 6 years ago today my older brother passed on. Miss him.
