It will take a while to get used to writing 2024 now. Happens every year, though. Nothing new.

BIL/SIL hosted dinner last night. Call it a New Year's celebration but it's because they couldn't host Christmas Day due to the flu. Medium sized gathering, probably 20 people. Food was good but I was tired by the end of it and cut out early.

Chilly here but still no snow other than the flurries we had the other day. Best winter I've ever had (I hate snow like TB hates plumbing).

HOUSE SEEMS EMPTY WITH THE CITY KIDS GONE; QUIETER TOO WITHOUT THE POM BARKING AT THE CUKOO CLOCK :-) AUTO ROTATION DAY, HARVEY UP. I'LL GO CHECK ON THE TOMATO AND DINOSAUR BONES.

soooo.....this is what the future feels like.... seems a lot like the past so far......

everyone has vamoosed from the home 20 and are back at their lives... took the ornaments and lights off the tree and will wrap it so the dried needles will not get all over..... then to the recycle dump where you feel better about your dead tree being used for good.... they probably all end up in the land fill but it's the thought that counts right?

Cold here too and will only top out mid 40s all week. I came to work today and door was locked. Nobody said anything about being closed and it's Tuesday. Turns out tint guys took today off for whatever reason, didn't tell anybody. Would been nice to know since I'm sick too and could've stayed home and cleaned house. One of the others got in touch with owner, he came and let me in, asked to see the book, yep, today was marked off. Never in 31 years have we been closed the day after new years. So, here I sit, unsupervised, doing my work, and answering my phone, and theirs, booking them appointments and such. heck, Owner told one lady her van is done to pick it up today and I allegedly have a trailer getting dropped off. Already got into a fight with an old geezer over card fees. Now I'm coughing my head off cause I didn't need to be talking to start with . New year sure starting off well.

Hey guys, cool day here, seasonally cool so can't complain. Highs in the mid 40s.

Doing a little work in the shop today. Yea, the house is quiet. We still have GGD, so she keeps us on our toes. She's fighting a cold, nose runny and at times grumpy. we take her back Thursday. So it will be real quiet then.

Nice weather day today. Not too hot. Not too cold. Dropped off the 91 in the shop. I'll comment more when I find out what's wrong with it. Waiting on the new mattress. Due in the next couple of hours. Doing a few other things that need to be done.
