Sorry to hear about Rosie. It only goes to show it's always something. Doing things to promote better health can kill you. ;) Up and at em' since about 09:00. Try to knock something off the list everyday. Sis and Bil want to come down day after Thanksgiving. They must like it here because it seems they come down every two months. Started tasks in October and hope to finish most of them before the Hanu-Mas/Christika party. I keep saying this is the last one. Maybe this year it will be. Keep it simple gurus.

The flap of the filler neck on the gas tank of my Suburban broke off. A PITA job that I will give to my mechanic. I ain't doing it. Right now I have to pump in spurts to get gas into it. It will be repaired soon.

yeah that would be a pain to fix..... had a good weekend with a very hard freeze.... the leaves on the trees just fell off....like a carpet out there now.... the wind will take care of it... and it will add insulation for the little grasses when the snow and ice hits.... I just made that up but it sounds like it would work...

not much else going on..... what's going on Guru's

Good afternoon - get well wishes to everybody that needs them. We were gone all weekend on our annual "fall colors" weekend, and yes, the leaves all kinda fell at once it seems. Last weekend stuff wasn't peaking yet so we waited till this weekend, was supposed to be 70 and beautiful all weekend. Saw in my FB groups where stuff was peaking mid week so figured weekend would be a hit. Between Wednesday and Friday a ton of leaves fell. Oh well. I picked an overly ambitious trip for the amount of time we had and as we got started I culled certain area so we'd not get home at 3am last night. I should have went to the areas I marked off instead of where we ended up at, but we still saw a lot of beauty and got 3 hikes in, which also set us back a bit. One that was supposed to be a very quick in and out, ended up being half an hour down a horrid dirt road, then when we got there, it was way more to explore than we though and we stayed in there too long, then of course having to climb a lot to get back out, then drive time to get back out really put me behind yesterday so I missed once particular waterfall I really wanted to go to. Maybe in a week or two, but then it won't be as pretty with bare trees. We can thank Canada for sending us a sack of cold weather, looks like a pecker on the map with Arkansas getting the tip and it was enough to ruin my weekend. Ended up hiking yesterday in 43 degree weather, when I planned for 70. We jumped down one more path last minute before heading home, was trying to get a spot to see the sunset and it wasn't working then figured since we were close to one other thing we'd go. Ended up coming out off a trail, all uphill in 39 degree dark. didn't think I'd ever get warm, then got home bout 10 and still had to get plants in the shop. I had no idea I had that many and have a couple friends trying to give me more. My kangaroo fern has a bird living in it, now he's loose in the shop. He needs out so he can find food and a new place to live. But, it's 31 out here, and it seems disrespectful for the sun to be out and I can't get out with it. I'll try to get motivated to get some stuff in here done I need to.

Gosh it sounds like everyone is taking spills lately. Hope everyone recovers quickly.

We had the first snow of the season last night. Enough to cover the ground. It's mostly melted now. Daughter's car wouldn't start this morning. I thought that was unusual because I replaced the battery 2 years ago. So I took that out and checked everything and it tests good. The terminal had a good bit of corrosion inside so I cleaned that off and all is well again.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey guys, busy day here. GGDs crashing ended up being her having some bug, because when she woke up she threw up all over the kitchen floor. I felt so bad for her. she ended up sleeping most of the rest of the day. Today she felt a little better, no throwing up, but she slept a lot and you could just tell she didn't feel good. I worked on a couple small things in the shop.

it was a cold start this morning, 17, but warmed up pretty good to 58 and light winds. Mid 70s tomorrow.

Rosie is starting to recover. Her thumb being the worst. It's still swelled up and turning green and black...typical bad sprain symptoms.
