Check for your RPO sheet either under the center consol lid or in one of the rear compartments. This will tell you if it's a Z51. Anniversary units the year model ends with a three. IE 53, 63. and so on.

a stiffer ride thats it. so i could put some z51 shocks on my vette and it would be just like a z51. and when you mean stiffer do you feel every bump you hit lol. cause i hold my breathe going over train tracks at 20mph. hit my head on the top of car also. but im 6'5 so its a really close fit anyways/

Actually there's more to it than just shocks. There's springs, torsion bars, bushings, and wheel rates. You can get a copy of your RPO sheet from the NCM. It will cost a bit but it's worth it. You can also get a copy of your window sticker.

NCM--NATIONAL CORVETTE MUSEUM...IF YOU WANT TO KNOW FOR SURE IF YOU HAVE THE Z51 OPTION YOU CAN ALSO CALL ANY GM DEALER WITH YOUR VIN & THEY IN THE PARTS DEPARTMENT CAN TELL YOU IF YOU HAVE IT OR NOT.

For 1988 there were 1309 corvettes produced with a Z51 pkg. There were 16017 with the Z52 option. One tip for the anniversary pkg is white exterior with a white leather interior. Thank Mike Antonick for the info. Lots of info can be found in the Corvette Black Book.

I've got an 88 myself. It has the Z52 package on it. Has a stiffer ride than the regular model. I do like the feel of it.

What about under the door of the rear bins? Did you look under there?
