The best $100.00 you will EVER spend.

Also, check the C4 Tech FAQ. It has a list of books I recommend.

Brian,

I am going to be blunt. You are expecting to pay potentially thousands of dollars in upgrades, and are too scared to pay $100.00 for a Factory Service Manual? I call that too stupid to live, ok?

I am so proud .

It is amazing to me how many folks are resistant to buying the FSM. I guess they don't see the value... until the first time you use it.

I will say this - it is NOT the easiest read, but we will help you to understand what it means.

I was amazed at the detail they go into about the a/c . It was like a tutorial on how to recharge and check your system.
It seems like most topics are this way

I'll agree 100% on the not an easy read. I wish it had a good table of contents so you knew where to start looking. It makes it tough for the mechanically disabled people like me.

Flip through the FSM and just look at the terms they use for the items you recognize and learn all the ones you don't know yet. Even for me it's sometimes difficult to find something if you're not sure what GM called it or how they have it listed. The C4 ones aren't bad but they aren't great. The C5 books are horrible. Then again they are three volumes and each on is huge.

When I was at the National Corvette Museum, in the back rooms (Adam took me around), they had a display of the 1953 harness... one panel, with all the wiring spread out, about 6' X 6'... the C5? Three panels, each the same size.
