Is anybody (besides me, of course) having their C4 NCRS flight judged this year? If so, when and where?

Update: I'm seeing a lot of first time judged C4s this year - last weekend I flight judged a black rose 91, a quasar blue 92, and three 93s, including a white ZR1 with a red interior. Of those cars, three had never been judged...

That's encouraging!
Not that I would attempt such a feat, but I'm glad the cars are hinting at being special again. |

What are the year restrictions? I can't see making a 93 factory original as being very difficult...

In general, the 1993s and their ilk are very nice used cars, right now. What differentiates the nice from the spectacular is the detail work - the 1993 ZR1 we judged had all it's documentation just so and the car had been very well prepared, with absolutely all of the fancy electronics not just working, but working correctly. |

Not here. I have too many minor mods and way too many miles to even consider it. Speaking of miles a bunch of us are heading into the NC and TN mountains this weekend, probably going to run thru the Tail of the Dragon again.

I had my car judged at the Charlotte Regional in May '09. I am planning and preparing for the Charlotte National next July. :thumbleft:

Maybe I'm wrong, but I kind of feel there are many ZR1 owners who are the type that do that, from seeing and reading about all of the low mileage ZR1s for sale. I don't think it's that hard to make a 15,000 mile car perfect. I have more respect for the guy who brings out his weekly driven 100,000 mile car to be judged than a waxer who sits in the garage and jerks off thinking about driving it but never does. Matthew |

So many c4's have been built that converting one for the track isn't ruining but rather increasing the fun factor. BTW, you need to get a paint gun. |

That's OK, racecar paint is only 50/50. Has to look good at 50 feet at 50 mph. |

You forget that C4's don't usually run. It has to look good up close when people help push you up on the trailer. |
