An average '96 vette is barely worth more than 9K these days, how do you expect to get that out of a Camaro?

If you can pull off that trade, that's a step up, but does the guy know what he's getting or is he gonna come back and kick your ass and shave your girlfriend's head 2 weeks later?

A bike is a good idea for a 2nd ride then you can work on your stuff without being stranded. Just make sure to get a bike in good shape though!

yeah i told him the transmission problems, and its funny that you said something about a good bike. Me and my friends were looking at one today for 1300 and we decided your going to pay for what you get. And if something goes wrong with a bike on the freeway your F******. I might get the bike and then just keep working on the corvette over time

What can you get for $1300 that's not a POS?

I paid $2000 for mine, and that was for a '99 Suzuki GS-500 with 20K miles. And that's slow and only good for about 110 mph, or probably 100 if you're fat. 40-60 mpg is nice though.

Yo brian.

Your young, your wild and your free.

I wouldn't be surprised if you had the power of music in you.

That being said. You jumped into a car not knowing much about it and their is a lot that needs to be done. I remember when I was a teenager a friend of mine bought a 61 Chevy Impala for $50. It had a problem with a transmission leak. We topped off the tranny and drove it about 12 miles when the tranny ran out of fluid again. We got some more transmission fluid and he drove the car to his house where it sat for a few months. Someone offered him $50 for the car and he sold it.
The next car he bought for $700. A beautiful 1967 Pontiac GTO. It didn't need much and he had limited funds but he really wanted to put a set of side-pipes on that baby. It also needed a set of tires because he pretty well toasted the tires that came with it showing everybody how it could lay down 100 feet of rubber on the drop of a hat. Let me see........sidepipes or tires? Sidepipes....of course!!!
About a month later I went to visit him in the hospital where he was recovering from a severe concussion. He kept asking over and over again what happened. You'd tell him the story and 3 minutes later he'd say...What happened?
What happened was he was running at a very high speed when one of his tires blew out. It sent him into spins until he was abruptly stopped by a telephone pole. The trunk of the car wrapped itself around the pole. They had to cut down the pole to lift the car off to take it to the junkyard.
Do you see what I'm trying to say here? Good; Because I don't even know the moral of this story. Other than your young, your wild, and your free. You'll make a few mistakes but it's all just part of the game.

Why do you hate to say it? I love my c4, but if I could get a convertible C5, blue with oak interior at a reasonable price, I'd jump all over it. I think both cars are great. I actually found one a few months ago that I was tempted to buy, but with the baby on the way, I refuse to make car payments on a "toy".

Three guys I work with have C5s. 2 verts and a coupe.

After driving one of the coupes and the vert, I don't see how going to a C5 is moving up.

Moving up would be...
