I'm at the gas station, filling up my truck at $4.50/gal. This cute 20-something comes over, all pouty, with this sad story about how she needs gas and her ATM card won't scan and she has no cash and needs to get home 30 miles away.

And she's pleading with me to help her out.

Is it a coincidence, or does she just not like paying for gas and thinks I'm a sucker?

"Show your tits I'll give you $10, that'll get you home."

But of course I didn't say that because my g/f was sitting in the truck next to me.

So I said, "oh, that's unfortunate, I hope somebody helps you out" ...and drove off. The blonde expression on her face was priceless.

This sort of thing seems to be happening more often. Funny, as I've NEVER in my life asked a stranger for money.

Not with the blonde beauty, but I've had the same thing happen at least twice inthe last 4-5 months.

All kinds of sad stories.

At least this one was cute

I had a CCW permit when I lived in PA. Used to shoot a lot back then. Never had a need to draw a weapon in self-defense. But a couple times I was glad I had it with me, if you know what I mean.

I was in downtown S.D., this lady asked me for some change so she could make a phone call.

I came across her 2 hours later in the same spot, she asked me for change again.

So either in 2 hours she wasn't able to get 35 cents, or she's just a small-time panhandler. I work for a living because I'm too lazy to beg or steal.

The only places I give free shit away are Goodwill, the trash can, and the toilet.

I used to work the front door at a club downtown (hotspot, bar district). We had bums that worked our area religiously. On a busy night, they could make several hundred dollars. I watched a drunk guy come out of the club and hand a bum a $50 bill. Wow.

I have had that happen before. You know I try to help and I like to help but I work hard for my money too why should I just give it away. One time a guy told me he was just trying to get home and asked for a few bucks for gas so instead of giving him any money I pumped a few bucks worth of gas into his car and told him to have a nice day. Of course gas was only 2.10 a gallon then.

beleive it or not, that was a common scam back home in Delaware.

people would ask for $2~$3 for "gas."

yea, right.

I was walkin' around downtown with a buddy one night. Homeless lookin' dude asked us for some cash to get a bite to eat.

My friend said "I'm not going to give you cash, but I will gladly walk with you down the street to Carl's Jr. and buy you something." The dude got real quiet, and just left.

I guess he didn't like their fries or something.
