Good Morning Gurus!

Well, I got up about 20 minutes earlier than usual, so I had about an hour to wash up the Ruby a little. Nothing serious. Car wash hose and hand dry...

Looks alright.

I didn't get to do any exercise this morning, and I'm busy this evening... And busy Saturday... And Sunday....

Gotta get back to it on Monday!

How's your day going so far?

Good morning CGs!

How is everyone's day so far? Got up, changed the little pooper and put her back down to nap, so I've got some time. Made a healthy little breakfast - egg white omelet with some fruit. Nice.

Chris - that's the slippery slope, my friend! I understand you're busy, but try to work in 20 minutes for a short power walk or something - you'll feel better all around. I hate missing workouts because it always seems like once you skip one, the next one is easier to skip, yada yada... In fact, I'm about to head downstairs to polish the guns in a minute :thumbleft:

Hope everyone has a great day!

Yes sir! I will do my best!

Actually, on Saturday, 81c3 and I are installing the Hurst in my Ruby, so that may be a workout. If not, I'll head around the block a few times when I get home.

Sunday I am going off-roading, which may also be a little bit physical, especially if we have to alter the trails to get through.

But if I find myself having easy days, then I'll figure out some way to burn a few calories.

Putting off something I have to do. Go down to Building and Zoning and straighten out an open permit from 1992. Best wishes for your sister.

Scary time indeed. My prayers for your sister.

I video tape a cancer walk every year in Canon City, Colorado. The do a lap around the track just for survivors near the beginning of the event. Every year the number grows. It is encouraging!

Thanxs guys for the well wishes!!!

My Mom had breast cancer and had a double masectomy. So my sister was at greater odds to get it.

They did find it early and the lump was .5 mm so not that big.

She has an appointment with the surgeon Monday at 11 AM. We'll know more then.

Thanx again!!

Best wishes to your sister, Gary!

Today is Friday - woo-hoo! I'm off today like usual, and I actually have nothing calendared. It's been so busy at work, that it's nice not to have to think about anything.

And I'll be off on Monday! It makes up for the fact that I can't the holiday hours next Fri, the 4th.

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm off work the 4th through the 13th. Nothing planned really. Washing and detailing the cars. Some maintenance work that I've been neglecting on our four vehicles, and the house, maybe.

It will just be nice not to have to drive to work.

I agree about not driving in to work. My current commute isn't as bad as my last one, but I think it's still a total waste of time to have to commute in bumper to bumper traffic to work.

I'll actually have some to pay attention to you all here on Guru! =)

Gary -

Best wishes for your sister! Is she in the US or across our friendly border to the North? I'm assuming if she got an appointment on Monday she's in the States.

Very true. If you ever walk during a race, once...then it will be okay with you to walk any and every race. Marathons are 26.2 miles but you shouldn't walk, not evey once.

I have a better solution - if I have to run 26.2 miles, I just get in my car and drive

Yeah Matt she is in the states. She lives in Pa. where we grew up.

I remember when my daughter had her brain tumor it was the same size. The oncologist said they usually don't find them that small in the area where my daughters tumor was.

My daughter is doing fine now. Removed the tumor, had about 7 days of radiation and shes fit as a fiddle now,so I got high hopes for my Sis.

Everyone cross thier fingers for her!!!

Just got back from the building and zoning dept. Whoo Hoo !!!. All my permits are now officially closed. What a nightmare. I had an open permit from 1993 that had never been input as completed. I tried to close it two years ago and they wanted the plans. There were no fricken plans. All I had was a paper with the words windows, overhang and paint and the county permit stamped on the back side. I also had the permit and it was signed off in April of 93. End of story.

So I go out to my 90 Corvette and decide I'll drive it uptown. I'm down the block, turn on the A/C and no cold air. Turn around and give it a little freon boost. I look at the radio antenna and its stuck halfway. I moved it down and I moved it up. I lubed it up real good. I somehow must have activated the power antenna delete function because now my antenna is fully manual.
