Good morning CG's!

How is everyone's day so far? I'm back to the daily grind, so I just got home from work a few minutes ago. Been back for two days, so I'm still adjusting a little. It's hard after being off for so long!

Weatherman predicts rain for tonight....funny, it was raining on my way home. I guess tonight and this morning are synonyms in the weather world.

Other than that, no news on my front. What's everyone else got planned for today?

Good lawd, it was hard to answer the alarm this morning after 4 days off. Fortunately, it's another short week - heading to South Dakota on Friday for my wife's family reunion. They breed like rats out there.

Har! My side of the family is miniscule - my dad had one brother, and my mother had one sister. My mother-in-law was one of 15 children, and they're not even Catholic - LOL! She's the last one left of her siblings, but there are hundreds of descendants.

Off to a bad start. Went to ride my Superhawk to work and she's got a flat tire already, barely have had it for 4 days.

Good thing it didn't happen, or at least didn't pop on my jaunt through the canyons yesterday...

So now I'm back on the nerd bike for now.

Nice day here again today.
I ordered my headers this weekend from Merle at Exotic Muscle. He said they would try to ship the headers today, but the Cats and extension pipes would need to be built, and that could take a couple weeks. I also ordered gears for the dif, and other stuff to finish the installation of the engine accessories.

Looks like I'm gonna be wrenching again soon.!!

Wow that sucks. I get to ride mine tomorrow. Got a ton of parts coming in the mail and if I am lucky, this weekend I will be picking up another arcade game.

No, it's called being unmarried and without any bloodsucking children!

Since I got my bike I've already started 3 midlife crises. All 3 guys were trying to figure out where their wife stored their juevos so many years ago when they started pandering to her needs instead of their own.

Owning is the key. I own a 69 Chevy pickup, 85 Corvette, 98 Honda VTR1000, and make payments on nothing except the mortgage.

For work I'm a professional engineer. All I can say there is stay in school, and major in something that pays well, not teaching, or history, or mathematics, etc.

I keep telling my son he should become a mortician. It's real hard to outsource that, and there's an endless supply of customers.

69 pickup is kinda old....I suppose everything is controlled by a serpentine belt and no electronics? If so, then I assume its reliable because if the belt goes, everything does. No ECMs, electroncis or stuff.

There are seperate V-belts. One drives the water pump and fan (critical), another drives the alternator (semi-critical) the other drives the power steering (not critical).

But often on V-belts one can fail and take out other belts with it.

It's reliable simply because there's very few things that can fail, or leave you stranded. The only electricals that can let you down would be the HEI distributor which is extremely reliable, or the starter or alternator.

When I was younger I couldn't afford a whole lot of "toys" - but when you get a little older, and you are careful with your spending habits, you can afford some things. When you get a better paying job it makes a big difference.

Better paying job makes all the differance. BTW I won the game, 400 big bucks but its a 35 inch screen. Hell you could hardly pick up a new 35 in for that much.
