A gas station owner here in the DC area recieved an order of fuel from Texas that cost them $4.75 a gallon. Ordinarily they would have cancelled the order had they know ahead what it cost, but the gas was shipped and they recieved. Now they are selling at thier cost $4.75
According to the newscast, this station is always way below the region average on gas prices and that now many stations are getting gouged as well.

The pisser is that crude oil has dropped $5.00 per barrel because of this weeks events (hurricane, bankruptcy-Lehman, bail-out Merril Lynch and AIG needing 40 billion is short term money).

around here starting friday prices had jumped a total of $1.50! Now its down .50 so we are still $1 up. National average is about 3.77 and going down. On base its 4.49 because of the A-holes price gouging off post. BASTAGES!! Well I am waiting till Wednesday to fill up and I hope prices fall between now and then.

Regular is around 3.68, up from 3.39 Friday morning. Glad I topped off Friday night ;-)

Stock futures this morning are about as ugly as I have ever seen.

Looks like gas was $2.90/g the first time crude hit today's price. What the hell happened in March/April 2007? Everything made sense before that.

In light of the hurricane, here in Arkansas, stations were gouging. Our attorney general has filed subpoenas on several stations. Prices went up a dollar here overnight and kept going.
