trust me, even in a non-running condition, it's worth more than the claiming value.

if that was the case, your Vette would be a better fit.

Claimer racing, whether it be for the engine or the entire car, is really the best way I've ever seen to keep racing within realistic cost bounds for true hobbyist, entry level, low cost racing. I read through the rules, great fun! This would be a blast.

I think it was Jack Hewitt that said "The best way to control the cost of racing is to put a claiming rule on the haulers."

The 25?

Have you run there before? It's one of my "home" tracks.

Take warm clothes. I skipped last year but the last one I was at, it was 30 at nite and warmed up to 32 during the day.

geez... that's cold... I have been to tracks where it dips into the 50s and that feels like the arctic.

The 25 ????

Have not run there, but have been out to the track. And yea, it'll be about the same temp as Oregon/Washington.

Building a shitbox 3rd gen Camaro with a 305 and a T5.

Is that where you live? Well then ya know. A couple of years ago, it rained thru the race, there was so much mud in the paddock, you couldn't see the asphalt. I've crewed and driven the 25. 2 years ago we had to do an engine change in the middle of the race, luckly the owner had a garage rented.

I think you'll like driving the track. It's one of my favorites. I've run there since day one, more that 2,500 laps.
NASA normally runs the bypass, I like runing up over the hill a little better.

It's even worse when it's that cold and raining.

A 3 layer driving suit keeps you pretty warm.

But, the thin soled driving shoes don't do much for your feet.
