You just made me remember a cover we did 5 or 6 years back of "He Went To Paris". The singer was a guy from Germany who had a popular band there back in the late 50's/early 60's and played at the Cavern Club at the same time the Beatles were getting their start there. A couple other guys chipped in the guitars and bass, and I did the piano, drums and production:

Saw him at Walnut Creek Raleigh in '95 or '96. Got invited by 2 girls who worked at the club with me.
I bought a ticket, and the boss gave me the limo to drive up there. The girls backed down, and the show was sold out. Now what? A neighbor found a ticket, we drove up in the limo, and they waved us up to FRONT ROW PARKING! There was no one in the back except for a case of Bud. If we had driven a Pinto, we would have made the hook-up. But since we had the limo, it was stag city on the way back.  except for a few numbers  |
