I don't see the big fuss. His designs look like every other bland sedan on the road. Or is that the fuss?

Do a google search for Bangle butt and almost every new bmw comes up. They all look different, some are pretty bland, but the owners still bitch.

It's not a niche market, so it's going to be bland by nature.

I never cared much for his designs, anyway - I prefer the older, slimmed-down look.

I like the boxy designs also. BMW was one of the last to ditch that.

All their cars look like Volvos now.

Designing new cars is like competing in an ugly contest.

Volvo used to be the definition of boxy car.

I hated the bangle cars when they first came out, but the design kind of grew on me. I still prefer the late 90s/early 00s. But like a lot of the comments on that page said, look how many other cars were influenced by the design - toyota/lexus, etc.

I think BMW has always put out a quality product, I wouldn't mind driving one.

Homer was quite the designer, factoring in all of the necessities.

The features Homer added to his vehicle are:

* Extremely large beverage holder
* A little ball on top of the aerial
* Tail fins
* Bubble domes
* Shag carpeting
* Several horns that all play "La Cucaracha"
* For younger passengers a second soundproof bubble dome with optional straps and muzzles

Homer describes the car as "powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball".
