Flew into JAX... worlds SLOWEST airport... both baggage return and rental car counters... ugh...

The only problem... I "lost" my phone. It fell outta my jacket pocket and is still in CA. It is being mailed to me and I should have it by Wednesday at the latest.

Welcome back to Floridah. Don't forget, the speed posted is the suggested speed limit. Most go 15 to 20 mph over until you get to I-4. Then it's 50 mph under the posted speed limit. If someone is using a directional, approach with caution. They probably hit it by accident. Do not drive on Martin Luther King Blvd anywhere in the state, especially at night without a cell phone. There are more people 90 years or older with drivers licenses here then in any other state. Treat them as a moving road obstacle. They may be driving while dead. Floridas' economy is reliant on tourism. So enjoy yourself, spend lots of money and leave. Have a great stay.

There are two things Floridian Drivers don't use - turn signals and speedometers.

For the most part, we will be avoiding I-4. If you don't like I-4, you would HATE the 405 in LA... The difference? The 405 is simply a longer I-4...

Speed had a decent, live (sort a) preview on lastnite.

Even showed the Corvette team manager dropping his pants when asked "Briefs or Boxers?"

I was lookin' for Jake errrrr Jeff, figured you would have had a BBV shirt on.

We were tied up with family and work yesterday... finally made it for night practice....

We will be going out shortly. Tommy T-bone is on his way in... I am expecting a call from him about any moment now...

We hooked up with Tommy, had a hearty (!) breakfast at McDonalds...

Tommy is a helluva nice guy.

Got to meet up with Jeffvette, too. But he was working, so that was rather quick. Still, another cool Guru!

Had a great time!

Your gonna love this. I was over looking for Jeffvette at the Compuware 3 car and Andy (bogus) told me basicly to look for tall guy, white shirt working around the 3 car. So I see this guy resembling the desciption. I give him a tap and ask him if he knows Jeff. The guy tells me no, I dont know him with a slight accent. Turns out I was asking Oliver Gavin if he knew Jeff. So Jeff, Ask Oliver if some bearded guy was looking for you today.

We are getting ready to head to the track... I am waiting for bastet to wake up... poor thing, she caught a cold last week and lost her voice on Tuesday.

She hasn't been sleeping well... congestion and stuff. Sad...

That sucks, hope she feels better.

I'm headed to the racetrack but at least I'll see the Sebring start on Speed before I leave the house.

Well... I got one pic of Tommy... I think he is a vampire cause they all came out exactly the same way... odd... most odd...

We are home safe and sound! I will be going over pictures tomorrow night.

The flights were just a bitch... Ft. Liquordale airport was backed up big time... and we left 40 minutes late!

We arrived in Vegas 40 minutes late... a long flight, full plane and poor AC.

The 2nd leg was great! LV to LA! Under 1 hour! Good AC! But our luggage didn't make it. We went to dinner and then came back to get the luggage. Everything seems to have survived.

Great time was had by all! It was fun meeting Tommy and Jeff! We visited a lot of neat places... the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum in Savannah, GA (must see), the races themselves and Gatorama (somewhere on US 27 down around Palmdale). They have a ton of gators... plus some FL Panthers, skunks and Raccoons! Very neat place.
