Gadgets? What about the high end Euro cars? MB, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls, Bentley... with all their central computers and bespoke gizmos... that's where it gets $$$$.
A good example, Ferrari 348. The AC system has a small digital controller. Sure, it was made by a third party, but they are not allowed to make them and Ferrari isn't providing them anymore. Guess what, the module breaks, and the AC is done... explain why your Italian sports car's AC is dead... uh huh. |
