Good evening, sunny and beautiful here and of course I had to be somehwere. Our club had a bowling tournament and we all were there, but it was a nice day to get the car out. I left early so I could just drive a while. It made it to 77 today here, supposed to be about that tomorrow too. Plans to just sit on my hind end out in the sun and nothing else. I've been up and going all weekend, errands and a 4-mile hike Friday, then yesterday we went a couple hours to Heber Springs, AR and Greers Ferry lake for 2 more waterfall hikes and then some nice sunset photos then back home, today was the bowling thing, then I'm about to leave to go to some concert in town, Johnny Cash's son. The mayor's seester is in our vette club, and other member friend of mine works for him too and he gave her 2 tickets. The sister didnt want to go, she goes to bed at like 5 pm, so I got roped into going. Arron is working next town over, changed oil in an ATV, then was sanding on a transam, he's not home yet. I reckon I'll see him at some point tonight, he can sit here and drink beer and watch cartoons, he'll be happy.

Hey guys, up early and off to the church to prepare for serving breakfast after Mass. Served around 70.

Chilly start, but warming right up, 64 at noon and looking to add another 10* to that for a high.

Hey guys, Not a whole lot going on. I did clay the new pickup and coat it with a ceramic coating. Yesterday, I added Vent Shades to the windows and added bed hooks in the bed. Going to sell the tonneau cover that came on the truck. It's a really nice roll up hard cover, a Retrax, $2200 new, but they take up a foot of the 5'9" bed, space I can't afford to lose. Someone is going to get a great deal on a bed cover. I hope to get $1k for it...half the price of a new one, and I be able to buy the one I want and hopefully have some $$$ left over.

Good Morning CGs!

The weekend is finally here. I'm ready for it.

Weather has been nuts here. Was in the 60s a couple days ago and then we had an inch of nasty ice/snow mix yesterday. Supposed to be warm again tomorrow and next week. Mother nature seems confused.

I'm itching to get the cars out, guess I better get started working on them.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Gamornin GRIS

Cold front sweeping through. High 40's for the morning lows. The tortoises will not be pleased. Cold blooded ya know. Iguanas will slow down but shouldn't fall from the trees. Usually mid 40's for that. Been a couple of healthy looking non venomous snakes been seen in the yard lately. Hope they can get their fill. Plenty of lizards and vermin for them to load up on.

..yeah this Turbo stuff is getting way out of hand... geez..

..that is just how we inherited Mom's stuff when she passed. Had to move it to another storage where we live and slowly dealt it out to what we wanted and the kids and thrift shops and finally many trips to the dump.

I see Biden's dog Commander (German Shepard)has been banned from the White House due to his biting the Secret Service detail 24 times.... excuse me? it took 24 bites some of them needing stitch's and days off work to heal before they decided maybe it wasn't a good idea to have him around... ya think? I'd just shot him if he bit me.... I do not abide biting dogs.... of any size....

keep slugging away Guru's

cloudy off and on here, warm though, might stawm later they say. A little sore today from gym last night but not bad, surprised. ATT and others are out nationwide, somebody pulled the proverbial plug on society, at least my phone is quiet for a while. That cartoon makes me think of myself, I dread if I go before Arron bless his heart he'd just need to shut the door, walk away and start over lol. I feel the same way in his shop tho, there's tubs of junk out there I know he's not looked in for 8 years. But he feels he must keep it all. At least I got a flea market booth to get rid of some of mine.

Morning guys... Sunny, partly cloudy and low 40s now. Headed to the low 60s.

I'm headed out to the shop to spray some finish.

Tommy, it just amazes me how people let a $40-50k vehicle sit outside while they have $10 worth of junk filling the garage, protected from... whatever. That's quite a turbo on that pickup.....

Saw this on my nephew's Facebook page. Him and his dad track a couple of cars on the 1/8 mile. (not this one). I guess on this one there is still a little room for improvement.

Went to the dermatologist this morning and they burned some stuff off my back and shoulders. Said my skin was looking pretty good and I'm good for 6 months unless I notice something. We recently changed the battery and hired a locksmith to get us a key for Sonny-boy's car. I washed it today as it was covered in green stuff and moved it to the back yard of where he was staying. He's still in the wind. Checked on the 91 and the problem appears to be in the HEI distrubutor. Awaiting parts. I should wash the Suburban but my eyes just started drooping. It's either snap out of it or take a nap. I'm thinking take a nap. LOL.

Houston. There has got to be some fun found in Houston.

Nice pickup! Should last you quite a while and smaller tires are a bit cheaper. I need 22's soon on the Rover, dread it.
Summer again here today and warmer, figure Arron will take the Harley this afternoon. Of course it's nice out, I'm in the office lol, probably be the standard winter this weekend when I'm off.
Have a few things pending here, just about to send a quote out on a box truck, have a trailer proofed already and a few other things. Gonna finish my lunch and get back at it.

IT'S WEDNESDAY, TOMMY, AND I KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS: TIME TO FEED THE DOG :-)

TEE, MY TRUCK HAS THE 6.2 AND I REALLY LIKE IT. MOST TROUBLE FREE TRUCK I'VE EVER HAD. I SWITCHED FROM CHEV TO GMC YEARS AGO; THEIR OPTIONS WERE MORE LIKE TRUCKS.

IT'S NICE THIS MORNING OUTSIDE, CLEAR, CALM, 56 DEGREES GOING FOR 78!!!

GOT SOME ERRANDS TO RUN OVER AT MUSKOGEE TODAY.

ENJOY THE DAY, AMIGOS---

Morning guys... AWOL yesterday. Got up early and made a 2 hour drive north to trade pickups. Nothing really wrong with the Silverado, but it was just time to upgrade. With pulling a trailer more often now, and the promise to move GD from KC back to Fayetteville, AR this summer, I just felt that I needed the upgrade. Looked around at stuff in KC when we were there last week, and found some promising leads, but then searched our local area and found more here. One feature that was imperative was, the 6.2 engine, other than that, I was pretty open. Found a GMC Denali over in the 'city', but they all have 22" wheels and rubber band tires, couldn't have that. This 22 GMC Sierra SLT Limited was much more palatable with 20s (like my current Silverado). Got there just as the dealership opened at 8, looked at and drove the truck, made the deal and was headed home before 10:30. The 6.2 is a freaking monster... way more powerful than the 5.3, and I reset the trip odometer and it showed that I got 23.8 MPG on the way home.

Resized Image

Today a lumber truck should here any minute, then my monthly massage and tonight we lead Stations of the Cross. Supposed to be nearly 70 today.

I hear the truck, got to go. Later guys.

Good morning, what's left of it. Summer here again today, of course, since I'm at work. Not liking this pattern, might change my schedule, I need to have sunny days when I'm at home. Being cooped up in the house ain't good for me. Hope Sue feels better soon and Tommy don't drop that and don't cut your fingers off.
Gris, if you have a Burlington Coat Factory there, or a Marshalls, Trees and Trends, TJ Maxx, gift cards to there are nice. They carry clothes, purses, home decor you name it. Or I always vote for the massage gift car for a "spa day", typically couple hundred for mani/pedi, facial and basic massage. Makes her happy, keeps her busy for about three hours and worth the money. Also, cards with a personal note of how much someone means to you with all that always wins.
Busy here today, getting back at it, seems the warm weather brought out people. lady just left here with a quote for a fleet, 3 club cab 3500 series trucks, one dually, a flatbed and two large trailers, got another trailer that just left, have a new Yukon to put wood paneling on and some tint billing issues to sort out. Seems a contract was signed and now I have the equivalent of an OSHA manual to fill out just to get paid off an invoice. It shouldn't be this hard, here's my bill, gimme a check, done.

Freezing here today and over the next several days. Freezing for South Florida that is. Starting the day at around 50* with a high of around 70*. I slept great last night. Don't know why but I sleep better when it's cold outside and I'm nestled in a nice warm bed. Go see my regular dermatologist tomorrow morning. Hope they don't find anything but I have my concerns. Still on the mend from my 4 MOHS cuts but they are all improving. I have stuff I can do. It's just wanting to do them that becomes the issue. Last night as I was walking through the house I thought to myself that we have way more stuff than we need for just two people.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Sorry to hear about Sue, hope she feels better soon.

Electrical gremlins are no fun. My C4 didn't have any but sometimes my C5 will have a random intermittent drain that will kill the battery. I've spent hours chasing it down and nothing found.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Amino acid? I remember back in the day I dropped a tab or two. One time 4 by accident.

I was out using some hand clippers on a bush in the front yard. I understand now why thay call them hand clippers. Clipped my left ring finger tip. Funny thing was I thought about being careful to NOT clip my fingers. Why does that always happen? Think "Don't drop this thing." and sure as $#!+ it's gonna hit the floor. Same thing with screws, bolts and anything small around the engine bay.

Yep.. it's important to include resistance training.... My recovery time is about a week now... so once a week I'm in the gym downstairs... rowing machine for 2.5 miles and then weights... Essential Aminos before and after... if you want to keep muscle mass as you age use the amino's daily... you will look like a Greek god or goddess....

nice here with warm temps all week..... try to maintain Guru's

One of the good things about exercise equipment is they make a great storage area and will hold assorted sizes of boxes and bags. Some also have a great hanging bar for clothes waiting to be put away in the closet.

Sunny here and will be low 50s today, no plans really today, Mondays are my 'self care' days and I rarely leave the house. Eyeballing a home gym setup I saw clearanced at Sams, I can get that and ditch my 30/mo membership. I have a treadmill here, no elliptical or punching bag but can work around that. Plus we also have one of those plantet fitness places I can do a basci 10/mo thing and use that sometimes. Benefits of where I am are an infrared booth, hydro massage and sunbed. I have a sunbed here too, and he's wanting an infrared booth here at home so - I can clean out garage and make me an exercise area out there. Wanting a set of those selectable dumbells also.

Gamornin

Cool, damp and grey at the start of the day. Lost another day to medical $#!+ yesterday. Sue was suffering from blurred vision in her right eye. Saturday she got out of the box truck and felt a sudden change in her eye. Sunday she wanted to get it checked as it was really bothersome. We drove up to Miami to place called The Bascom palmer Eye Institute. It's a world class facility with the latest and greatest in eye treatment and a training facililty of the University of Miami. Open 24 hours, 7 days a week. As we all know the burdens of seeking urgent care, check in was easy. Then came the wait. 4 hours+ later she was seen. There went the day with travel time and treatment time. Left the house around noon and got home at 08:30 PM. The benefit was she was diagnosed with a viral infection in her eye, a shingles type virus. She was prescibed an antiviral medication and recommended use of eye drops and gel. She should be back to "normal" in about a week.
We picked up the box truck on Friday. Spent $1000 to reframe the top of the windshield that had rust issues and had to replace the windshield that was damaged upon removal. (common issue). Today Sue went to work and the box truck cab was still leaking so it's back to the body shop it goes. Always something. And the wheel in the sky keeps on turning ...... Have an enjoyable day no matter what life throws at you. Fortunately all these things are just inconveniences. Afterall there are no problems. Only solutions. Ya mon.

Good Afternoon CGS!

Cold but sunny day. Stayed up late watching a movie with the kids and I'm dragging butt right now.

Went to the outlaws' this morning because the stove burner isn't working. One of them fancy 'lectric stoves. Glass top stoves are a PIA. Took it apart and found the heating element was burnt out, exactly what I suspected. It's 20 years old at this point. I've already replaced one element and one switch. New part is $100, new stove is $800. They opted for new part so I ordered that online.

Good luck with the cousin, Letty.

Hope everyone has a great day!
