Sorry to hear your getting back t reality Tom.
Today started out ok but muggy. I got the rest of my pipes insulated and rewrapped. About the time I finished that project it started raining. Tomorrow I think I'll start to work on the garage.

I'll get some when I get things straightened out. Also picked up a snap on roll around cart.

I got an Arbor press for $75.



Over the last couple of weeks I also added a full size vidmar cabinet, another small one for under my work bench, a shelving unit and a two door cabinet. All this for great price of free.

Been awhile since I checked in. I'm enjoying the cooler temps of late. I found out why my heat tape didn't work so well last yr. It turned out that I had a broken wire in the control unit. So I soldered it back and with luck it will be good to go this year. The last thing to do is finish wrapping it all up.

Had to replace the master cylinder in the vette again. seems like the new blew the seal out right away. The other problem I have is I think I have an intermittent clutch switch. Seems when the clutch is pushed in I get nodda nothing zilch for power to the starter. Push it a few times and it will work for a while then quite again. So looks like I have some trouble shooting to do.

Gris that is a great little story there. Would have been nice to see the look on the old bag.

Not much happening today. I did a brisket on the egg. Looking forward to that for dinner. The other project is to get the flex ducting put on for our central air. The old ducting had holes in it. It's been dry enough for long enough to be able to get under the house.

I agree with the property owner. It's been comfortable here for the past couple of days. Tonight I replaced our broken range hood. Took a couple of hours but the new one looks good. 42" isn't the easiest to find, had to order it.

This one came with a fuel shut off valve.

I picked this up tonight. It's the latest piece to my yard maintenance equipment.

We had a great time camping with our oldest and his girlfriend. We enjoyed a very good fireworks show there at the campground. didn't win the 50/50 raffle though.

Tonight we met Tom and Rosie. Had dinner at a local dinner. We had a very good time chatting.

Well we went and got our fifth wheel and decided to check into the city campground. Nice little part for $18 a night. The good thing is I get a hot shower and air conditioning.

Not much happening. I worked on the car tonight. I put in a new door ajar switch and a hatch release switch in the driver door.

There were many times when my kids were young I wish I could have left them at the zoo too. Sometimes the way they acted they sure as heck seemed like that is where they belonged.

Should be cool and dry tomorrow. I should be able to get the lawn mowed before it rains again on Thurs.

I think I got a good deal yesterday. I picked up a solid top for the vette. It's from an early 86 so it fits like a glove. Paid $200 for it. It needs to be cleaned up.

We have the same mostly rain in the forecast until Friday as Matt. I'm hopping it stops by then so I can mow my lawn. I would like to see some sun and cooler temps in the 70's with some reasonable humidity of around 30% NOT this 50 - 90% stuff happening now.

Just Hope you only need regular glasses Matt. Having bifocals isn't to bad though.

Here's the culprit of my bad AC in the truck.



The plug had the rubber washer that is used to make it water tight missing and it looks as if the where the wires were bent could have been causing intermittent problems. All I know is it was loose in the connector and would not make a good connection.

The wife will be happy and cool. It really sucked over vacation driving with no AC.

Working on the truck today in between rain showers. Replacing the bad connector for an ac plug. I'll take some picks when done.

Well as mentioned earlier this week I was headed toward the 50 mark. Well today is the day I reach that milestone.

Day started out with a couple of downpours and then dried up but got hot and humid. I was going to work on the truck and replace a bad plug for the AC but that isn't happening. So looks like that may be tomorrow.

House AC took a dump so earlier we went and bought another window unit to get us buy until we get some quotes to replace our 30yr old unit.

Sounds like your going to have a good time on your cruise Tommy.

The museum doesn't open til 10:00 am. Auburn is about 15 minutes from Fort Wayne. So staying in Fort Wayne or Auburn is a wash. Prices seem to be about the same. They seem to be running about $75 a night. Grand rapids is about 2.5 hrs from here. Effingham is a nice place to visit.

Not much happening here. I replaced the rocker switch for the passenger window in the vette the other day. The switch itself wasn't bad but the rocker lever was. IE the piece that you actually push with your finger. It just slips over the switch. New switch different style rocker so had to replace the whole thing.

Been busy here at work. That is a good thing. Bad thing is I'm tired when I get home. Next project is to fix an ac plug connector for the high pressure switch of the ac system on my truck. Got the plug yesterday so looks like I'll have a weekend project lined up.

Should be nice today with chance of thunderstorms on and off. Temps in the upper 80's with the humidity in the upper 50's. I hate it but it sure beats the snow.

Had nice weather here for the most part today. A couple of sprinkles. We had a good time at the corvette museum. Car looks good Marcus. We watched someone pick up their new Z06 while we were there. The museum has come a long ways since lat time we were there. Don't know what our plans are for tomorrow but I'm sure it will be relaxing.

Today we made it to Elizabethtown Kentucky. Yesterday we went and toured the Jack Daniels distillery. It was well worth the the time and would recommend it to anyone who wants to go. Tomorrow we're off to the corvette museum and then maybe Makers Mark distillery. Chat with you later.

Today we spent the day in downtown Mountain View. We stumbled upon a civil war memorial dedication. It was very informative and fun to see.

Happy Memorial day to all. For my fellow veterans thank you for your service. We are in Mountain View tonight. So far our vacation is going good. Only mishap is we had was we had an idler pulley go bad. That happened at my parents place.

I think they may all come with it. But I could be wrong.

Here's what the new work bench looks like.

Today I brought home my latest addition. A solid maple work bench. 8' by 30". Picked it up at an auction my old company was having. It also has one set of vidmar drawers.

If you order it through rock auto some of the part number say what the sizes are of the pin.

When you order a new master cylinder it should come with a bushing for the pin to master cylinder rod. Mine fit without one but it seems there are two different sizes for the pedal pin.

We're getting ready for a vacation starting next week. It's been a while and we are looking forward to it. We'll be down Letty's way for vacation. We're spending a few days with my parents in Mountain View AR. Then we're off to Lynchburgh Tn to tour the Jack Daniels distillery. Then we're off to Elizabeth town Ky for a few days. From there we will visit the corvette museum and Louisville.
