Good Morning CGs!

Site seemed to be experiencing quite the difficulty loading yesterday. Hope it's better today.

Sister, BIL, and niece are in town this weekend to celebrate niece's bday with the family. Friday night was dinner at the train restaurant (kids' favorite) which was enjoyed by all. Yesterday morning was strawberry picking at a u-pick farm and hour from here, then the kids played on the inflatable water slide for about 3 hours. Then it was dinner and goofing off. Kids were exhausted by then. I think parents were, too. Today they have an early flight home so just some short goodbyes and that's it. We have a Christening party this afternoon so that will take up the rest of our day.

The sun is shining, which means more yard work. Noting too difficult, just reinstalling some landscape lighting I took out when we tore out the old shrubbery. My son is gonna come over later and BBQ. We stayed dry for the car show last night, lots of nice rides down there. A guy had a nice driver-quality '63 SWC, and he was letting people take pictures of their kids sitting in it. It's always fun to see the innovation that goes into modernizing some of the old iron, too.

Was mowing along yesterday and the blades quit turning.....it doesn't mow as well when the blades aren't turning......belt looks ok will have to tear into it and see what up...just about finished also when it quit....

I do see a nap in my future though.....

Working on the truck today in between rain showers. Replacing the bad connector for an ac plug. I'll take some picks when done.

Got the mower fixed....it was a bolt broke off on the belt tensioner....course it was a SPECIAL bolt only found at Toro.....but I went to Ace and bought some stuff and made one to fit.....in your eye Toro......

...then it rained and I couldn't finish mowing anyway....

Here's the culprit of my bad AC in the truck.



The plug had the rubber washer that is used to make it water tight missing and it looks as if the where the wires were bent could have been causing intermittent problems. All I know is it was loose in the connector and would not make a good connection.

The wife will be happy and cool. It really sucked over vacation driving with no AC.

BACK HOME IN THE NATIONS HAVING SURVIVED ANOTHER DALLAS WEDDING. THESE THINGS ARE HELD AT A "WEDDING VENUE", WHICH SEEMS TO BE A LOCAL FAD/FASHION. A "CANNED" RECEPTION LOOSES QUITE A BIT IMHO.

ALSO GOT IN A VISIT WITH MY 88 YO 2d COUSIN. SHE'S THE LAST OF THE OLDER GENERATION ON MY DAD'S SIDE. SHE'S ALL THAT'S STANDING BETWEEN ME AND THE OLDER GENERATION STATUS.

THE MONSOON SEEMS TO BE RETURNING, HOPE I CAN GET THE OBSTACLE COURSE MOWED BEFORE IT HITS.

Sprinkled off and on all day. Did get a little painting done at the daughters house and went to the "city" for groceries. I just finished cleaning the shop up some as I get ready to start building cabinets this week.
