Just wanted to "publicly" say THANK YOU (again) to
Matt (Matatk).

Once again he came to my aid and has started teaching me the world of data logging. And I'm not computer literate, so he has his work cut out! lol

Thanks Matt!

I have a pretty good list:
1) Installing the ARH headers and exhaust system.
2) Air pump / EGR delete.
3) TB bypass.
4) New valve covers.
5) A GOOD clean up and detailing so hopefully my engine
compartment will look almost as good as forum member
flyboy's does!

P.S. Somewhere along the way I'm sure I'll be needing help from MATATK and vette tech! lol!!

Andrew- the yellow vert is a 95' (but not a LT-4), belongs to Bernie from Shorewood, IL. Nice car.

Anyone interested in a used tan top from a 89' vert.?
I just replaced my top and the old one is still in very good usable condition (wouldn't have replaced it yet, but got a great deal on a new top and I found a local upholsterer who did a great job on the install!).
It has a couple of spots where the top mechanism has caused "wear spots", I wouldn't call them holes or tears, but they do show. It would be a good replacement for someone who's top is in bad shape.
I can send pic's of the car with the old top.
All offers are welcome.

Thanks for the info...
I have the ECM out, PROM looked to be installed O.K. and the original one. I've located a replacement ECM, we'll give it a try.
Hopefully this will solve it.

UPDATE:

I followed Bill from FIC's direction and used Vaseline on the o-rings (don't laugh, it worked!). Both of the leakers sealed this time.
So that leaves me with the ECM problem which now seems worse. Idle was all over the place, from 700-1200, keeps wandering then slows and stalls.
I did find a few places on line that rebuild them, also found a few on ebay. Any advice either way?
We're getting closer!
Thanks again!

Hello guys,
Well after Matak (Matthew) busted his butt helping me Wednesday night (which I'm in debt to him!), we got the new FIC injectors installed. I finished everything up today just to find injectors 1 & 3 leaking. Just got off the phone with Bill at FIC and after some good conversation and advice I'm "reseating" the drivers side bank.
I did get it started earlier and fired right up and ran pretty well.....for the usuall 4-5 minutes, then slowly idled down and stalled. The same problem I've been having all spring.
I pulled the codes and it's giving me a code 51. MEM-CAL according to the FSM. Which it says is a problem with the PROM or ECM.
I'm trying to plan ahead, are there any vendors of new or rebuilt ECM's? and or PROM's? My car is an 89 w/ AT.
Thanks much guys!
-Mike

Well seeing this I won't bug you about mine!
Got everything back together and it fired right up but still stalls out after 4-5 minutes. Also noted #1 cylinder injector is leaking. Should I be able to move it easily in the manifold/fuel rail? I can slide it up and down enough to cause it to loose the seal, doesn't seem right....?
Good luck with your's Matt. Let me know if I can be of any help.
Wish I wasn't on-duty yesterday....I could have trialered it back home for you!

Just changed my plugs (and wires, cap & rotor) last weekend.
Really not to bad of a job. The drivers side is easy, the only one that's a challenge is cylinder #2 behind the A/C compressor. Remove the acces panel in the fender well and by using a swivel and a combination of extensions on the 3/8 ratchet and it wasn't to bad.

But you're correct, Matt probably could sleep through it....lol!

Welcome to the site. The first test you have to do, as mentioned, is check for fuel pressure at the rail. Then you can look for the cause of the problem.

If it is the fuel pump, I recommend either AC Delco or as mentioned a walbro fuel pump is very good. You do not need a 255 lph pump. I have the walbro 190 lph to feed my 383 stroker and it works just fine. I purchased mine from racetronix with the install kit and it was great.

http://www.racetronix.biz/customkititems.asp?kc=FPA-011&eq=

or just type in fpa-011 in their search box.
