Good morning Guru's hope you had a nice weekend, now its time to face reality once again......

I have some field work to get done and then I am going to a different bone cruncher in another town to see if he can heal this back of mine. It's a lot better but not a 100% yet. I like the guy I am going to see today...he started business over in our town and had a dual town thing going and then finally moved to the other village when his business picked up there.

Met up up with a guy from another forum that lives about a 100 miles north of here. He bought a real nice triple black 04 Vert in Dallas and was driving it home and called me come look at it. It was very nice...his first Vette and he was excited about it. 48K milage on it...the only thing wrong on it that I could see was the glass piece on the HUD was missing....how did that happen I wonder...anyway it was a great car and he is going to have a lot of fun with it.

Greetings! Just a lovely day out there - it just finished raining, and the temperature might climb to 55 by tee-time. I saw that they're predicting 37 tonight. Delightful.

Exciting morning, well not really, not at all. The dog and I are staying out of the way while the home inspector checks out our house for the buyer. Of course the dog wants to know who this stranger is wandering around and about 'her house'.

Weekend Flashback. Saturday night we came home and the power was out. We have a Kubota GL-6500S diesel generator that we can hook up to the house and it will power all the 110 stuff. I started it up and it ran for about two hours, Then it started billowing oil smoke from the exhaust. I checked the oil and it had drained.Checked the back of the machine and all the oil had drained back there. I shut down the generator pretty quickly after a neighbor noticed the smoke. It turns freely and hope it didn't suffer terminal internal damage. We'll find out soon enough. I priced a new one and it's over 5 grand. Instead we're looking into the repairing/rebuilding/replacing engine option. It only goes to show ............. It's always sumthin.

I was tired yesterday and I'm retired today. I spent the night dreaming I was a lettuce farmer. I spent the hole dang night working in the field. There were no Daisy Dukes wearing assistants to help either. Looks like another day of minimal progress. Today I'll be a pro. Pro crastinator.

Morning guys....it's an in service day and what a waste it is. Taking a short break. I could better use this day in the class room. Cold front moved through and the north wind is howling. A bit like fall.

Good luck with your back Ultraman....Raining again here today. We got a little break yesterday but not enough for the yard to dry out enough to mow. I have a cover back there on the baby pool but it's been rained in enough it's fell down into it some and there's pine needles in there. I need to uncover it, get out the pine needles, run a little more chlorine through there and recover it to where it won't droop. Was hoping to be able to take the vette out today, need to go to my elderly cousin's house and get a few things for her, I'll be taking my pickup instead. Gas hawg. So far I've gotten up, cleaned up and put clean jammies on and most likely will get back on the couch and nap.....happy Monday....

So far I've paid the bills for this month. Now I'm exhausted. I've got stuff to do though. (smack, smack) Up, up, you lazy bastard, (talking to myself again). You have too many things to do and no time to do them all. No whining, no complaining. What about all those people out there that would give their right nut (or boob) to be where you are? This stuff isn't gonna do itself. Get to work dammit.

Well, enough fun for this morning, I have to drive to California and cash in my Lottery tickets.

In-service over and meeting done. Now just waiting for the principal to come over for our "department meetings". He's going to ask for one of us to volunteer to do so extra training on some BS......it ain't going to be me. "Nominated I will not run, Elected I will not serve". Not sure who said that, but it fits the situation here perfect. What are they going to do, fire me?

DAMN NEAR WRECKED THE PICKUP.....And hurt my neck.

I was passing the local Shell station, glanced over and it was full of C2's !!!

There were 9 beautiful C2'S at the pumps.

So I had had to pull a Uey and find out WTF.

I asked them what was up, they said they were crusing. Asked if they were a club - nope. Just some guys that cruse together - everyfreekin' where.

License plates from Arkansas, New York, Florida...they drive long trips together every year, last year - Route 66, this year - the esat coast to Reno for the Air Races, Lake Tahoe and Virginia City.

Some stock, some slightly modded.

2 had C4 seats in them, they fit nice.

Wish I had a camera with me.

Geez Bill you shoulda had them over to see yours....and maybe do some sanding...... Now that would be fun to drive around with a gang of C2's.....

I love being HOA free. First and last one I was involved with was almost 30 years ago. My first question on any potential property purchase is "Is there an HOA?". I like doing my own thing. If I have a problem with a neighbor I sic the county compliance board on them. First a warning then a fine, then a lien. No HOA. The laws are on the books. Fortunately, none of my neighbors ever had a purple house with green trim. That's always something that can happen in unregulated neighborhoods. My current neighborhood overall is pretty good considering it's rural nature. I've seen some country areas that look like somthing out of the jungle in Central America. Rutted muddy roads, trash piles, overgrown lots. Only thing missing was banjo music. Or in SoFlo's case, bongo music.
