Good Morning CGs!

Well, if you noticed the date at the top of your screen, I hope you realized the significance. Unfortunately there are people out there who don't care anymore! Of course, I wouldn't expect any of our CG members to be like that!

We need to take a few moments to remember the poor victims of that tragedy as well as the brave men and women who risked (and gave) their lives to rush into those two towers to save people they had never met before. I'm not going to trivialize the chat today with my babble like usual, I would just like everyone to reflect on that day, remember where you were, what you were doing, how it felt. Maybe thank a soldier who is fighting for our freedom or a police officer or firefighter for helping protect us as well.

Let us not forget the events that transpired on that day!

I would agree 100% Matt. Just like the battle of Gettysburg and Pearl Harbor, time has a way of tempering our minds. As time goes on, the significance of these points in history become more and more softened.

A moment of prayer for those who have given of themselves.

Well, I missed yesterday entirely. My planning time was consumed with helping a middle school teacher with some projects he is trying to do with his students. Then after school I drove and hour and a half to watch my grandson play football, by the time I got home, I was dead tired. Tonight I head southwest (about and hour and a half), to a friends house and to play in a golf tourney tomorrow. Then we will hustle back and Saturday evening we are having a Bazaar at church to raise money for the religious education classes, and I help with the auction, so i have a busy day up. Hopefully Sunday I can relax a bit, as next week is going to be a busy one as well.

Homecoming week is a b!tch, I am a freshman class sponsor and have to help with the float construction. And we have a spirit week to go along with homecoming and that is a major distraction to actually "teaching". Oh well, such is life.

Prayers and mojo to all who carry the burden of what happened 8 years ago.

Another busy day here - have a great weekend, everyone!

Today is a day that will live in infamy with a few more. Thoughts for the selfless few who are willing to give it all, yesterday, today and tomorrow. And also a prayer for the lost blood of the innocent.

Feeling a little better but with chores galore. Never a dull day. Just got back from shopping. Now I'm off to patch, prep and paint at the other house. Several days worth of work there for sure. At least I have my son there to hold the ladder. Then a birthday dinner at 6:00 PM at one of our favorite oriental buffets. Everything from sushi to steak. That's something we've been doing as a family lately for birthdays and such. Hit a buffet, eat, sing Happy Birthday, open gifts, drive home and collapse on the sofa. No prep, no fuss, no mess and plenty of parking.

I've always been a little bit of a history buff, so maybe I'm an exception, but there are some people who don't even know basic facts. Every year when 12/7 rolls around, I ask people "do you know what today is?". You'd be amazed how many people in their 20's and 30's can't even tell me! Sad, really.

Very Sad Indeed. It amazes me what people don't know these days. They can tell you who's on american idol, or ET, or any of those reality type shows, but they can't name any significant date in history--much less name any elected official.... Blows me away..

Prayers to all those who lost loved ones; for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this county, and those who continue to do so...
May we never forget...

Haven't lost any yet, but had one (USMC) get hit hard and now is disabled.

You know when I watched Leno and his 'street walking' segments, I used to think "Nobody is that stupid", but I've grown to believe that I was wrong.
