Going to work today at the other place. Finish up some outside patching. Do some scraping then hope to get some primer started. Check on the pool pump. Pick it up and install it if it's ready. Tomorrow I'm going to a private island on the Keys. My wifes'company has been retained to landscape 8 homes as they become finished so they can get their certificate of occupancy. I'm going to help her for the day doing some weed whacking and mowing. What everybody has always told me about retiring is "Don't just sit on your ass." I surely can appreciate it when I do. (just sit on my ass).

Dang, Tommy, you're working harder than me! I guess on the bright side, it sounds like your wife's company is doing well.

After 2 days with the old radiator installed, still no leaks, so I think I can quit my ritual of looking under the car every time I park.

Good Morning CGs!

Well, wifey ran off the the store and baby is at Grandma's house. Gonna eat a quick snack then get a killer workout in. Today is my last day working afternoons. Get a couple day break then back to work at 8 am on Friday. Wifey is happy, so am I. Although I just started getting used to having my mornings off. Oh well.

Brad - hopefully that solved your leak. Maybe you can get the radiator pressure tested and see if it's a leak in the fins or tanks? I know it wasn't cheap so it seems like a shame for it to have a hole.

Chris, I found your motivation - GET OFF YOUR ASS AND GET TO WORK!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I finally got my fuel filter changed this morning. I could not get to it without a lift, so took it to a local shop who did it very cheaply for me. At 216,000 miles the filter that came off was the original factory fuel filter - WOW, I never would have expected that.

Still have lots of kids out today. I built the youngest daughter, a bathroom vanity in a couple of hours. Glued it together this morning, now with time on my hands, I'll work on the face frame. I also GET to stay after school today and sponsor freshman class float decorating. Thank goodness we are doing it here in the school auto shop...that way I'm going to work on my pickup (change tranny fluid/filter).

Liable to be a long week......

Got to admit, I've never had that happen. Sawdust fixes nearly anything.

I did get the tranny fluid and filter changed while watching the kids work on the float. Had to stop a few times to give them a hand, but all turned out well.

Ahh float building days... My auto shop class built a float like the one in animal house out of an old chevy chassis complete with the words EAT ME I thought it added a cultural touch..Principal did'nt..we did it anyway. Administrators have no sense of humor...Course we lost the auto shop 2 years later..hummmm wonder why.. :thumbright:

You're right, no sense of humor at all. Do you think that comes along with the required lobotomy when they get their administrative certificate?

So this Prof says well what would you do??? I told the whole class, tell the kid to keep his mother off the streets and that would happen!! Grad class thought it was a great reponse! I feel sorry for the kids, they really need us and what we teach...Nothing wrong with tech, but someone has to build and do the mechanicals...School officials have already been through my shop and tell me they can make 4 large classrooms from it. They could at least wait for the body to get cold!!

Oh, they won't act quite that fast here....the super will calm the people by 'saying' that he's trying to find someone, but won't after a while and then turn it over to the maintenance guys, or pillage the place by selling off the equipment.
