Good Morning CGs!

Well, I get a half day at work today, so I'm excited Wifey has an eye dr's appointment and it's too hard to go and have the rugrat squirm around in her lap. So I get to play hookey. Awesome. Of course, that means when I get home I will be boxing up wood, putting on trim, staining new trim, cleaning up tools, cleaning the house, moving furniture......maybe I should just stay at work!!!

It's funny, after one project is (almost) done my wife immediately finds something else for, wait, ME to do. "I want to paint the front room now"...my response - "ok, have fun and don't drip any on the new floors I just installed". Apparently "I want" means "you do". Not cutting it in my book. Especially with the 20 foot vaulted ceilings and walls that I don't have a two level scaffold for. Hmmmmm. I told her it's at least $1000 to paint our front room (with loft and stairs and hallway) and I'm not doing it right now. She can wait. Of course my car project has been on hold for 4 months because of her, but in her eyes that can wait 4 more years. I've had enough. I am starting on the car once the floors are done.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

This stuff sure sounds familiar. Like deja'vu all over again. Working on tax papers. I'm not as organized as I thought I was. I'll be done this week though. Overcast and rainy looking outside. Always plenty to do. If I don't have something to do, somebody else will try to find something for me to do.

Howdy! Just a word of caution - if she waits, then you may wind up waiting for, uh, stuff.

No thoughts of tax returns for me, not even going to look until we get back from vacation. I will have to make sure I'm stocked up on checks before then, though

Morning guys. I remember those days Matt. Taxes...uhmmmm. I've been through most of my junk, just waiting for few items to get here, then it will be off to the taxman for him to figure. I suppose I need to make an appointment to talk about this year, with me retiring from teaching and how that might affect my taxes next year.

I made some headway last night on a few of my projects. Basically finished up the daughters things, got the cabinets assembled completely and the door pieces machined and ready to glue up.

Good Day Gentlemen!

We got some more of the white stuff last night (not much) but I hear a rumor we got 2 feet coming over the weekend. Ouch. I hate snow!!!

My dad is a CPA and is beginning his annual tap dance for all the people that come running to get thier taxes done. Poor guy is always in the weeds this time of year.

A friend and Corvette Member, Steve Rowe passed away Monday from a long battle with Cancer. He was our Competition director in the past and active in the Corvette Racing community around here. He just got his stock C6Z06 to run a 10.89 back in December and was very excited about this. I think this made him 3rd fastest stock Z06 on CF.
We will miss him.

I also just signed up for the NCM VIR HPDE event in June
http://www.corvettemuseum.com/registration/HPDE/virinfo.shtml
I'm looking forward to that. I have several friends going to and I have never been before. I hope my C4 is up to the task. I'm only doing the single day school and drive. I just didn't have $500 to drop on the multiple day event.

Anyhow - have a good day - Chat with you all later!

Thanks guys... Hopefully if the weather is not bad we will be able to have a very long Corvette Caravan in his honor at the memorial.

Sorry to hear about that, Don. Sounds like a great loss to you and the corvette community. Best wishes to his family.
