Good Morning CGs!

Well it's Sunday and I'm beat. Gotta work today and that makes 7 days at work due to me helping fill in for some guys on vacation. Looking forward to having three days off. We are taking the baby up to Wisconsin for a short trip. They have a huge indoor water park with slides and whatnot that she should get a kick out of. Maybe I can relax a little. All I have been thinking about is the car. Having some issues with the accessory brackets and getting everything back to the way it was before. But as I dig deeper, it might not have been right the first time! It's possible some things were taken off in the past and not put back on properly. I don't know yet. Very frustrating.

Gonna be a hot one here, today, too!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning, it's a beautiful morning here. Cool and a very light breeze. Looking to go to 90* again today. Nothing special planned today. I think that I might do a little cleaning on the Corvette.

Good Morning All,

I got back home from the Hershey, PA area early yesterday evening. Although the weather was OK, I was disappointed with the show. Too many factory stock late model Corvettes that I wouldn't even waste my pixels on. I did get a couple photos of my friend Rich's 1969 Corvette Coupe and a few a couple others that I liked and thought were clean examples. Otherwise I was just glad to be around the Corvette people and be able to promote my show. I try to seek out the really special Corvettes and then try to talk their owners into bringing that car to my show. I know I will have my share of basic Corvettes, but I strive to get special cars to the event.

I'm chillin' out today and not doing much of anything. I think the wife wants to go look at patio furniture. Sounds expensive to me.

Awesome pics Griz.

The Wife Sarah and I have been doing a LOT of cleanup and re-organizing. Not really Spring cleaning per say, but because we're setting up a room for my Grandmother to start staying in full time. Tomorrow we're having a hospital bed delivered along with some other medical equipment. Hospice and aides have been scheduled for the start of her long term care...which in reality will not be very long term.

She's just not mobile anymore and she's going to have to live in her new room.

That meant Sarah and I had to go in and clean house. I think, aside from the vintage 1971 king size bed, I pulled out 8 trash bags full of stuff we were trowing away, and a few misc pieces of vintage 1971 furniture that we're going to give away.

We have more work to do today but we got the room ready for the equipment tomorrow.

Nice pics,Don. I have to get back to Pa. one of these days.

All the late model stock stuff is why I'm not in the local club anymore, nice enough people but......
Last summer, Reno Corvettes had a short cruise, came out to the Historic Races, had a corral and a BBQ. There were about 50 cars, all C5's & 6's, maybe 5 or so had light mods, the rest were stock. I don't think there's even a C2,3,4 in the club anymore.

Can I have the red one????

Saw an old greyhaired man in a pretty shiny one with side pipes here yesterday. He looked up at me in my old Ford pickup truck and smiled, I looked down at him in his pretty Corvette and smiled... wishing he had a feather up his ass and I had that and we'd both be happy....

Lot to do today, but must have missed some meds or something yesterday, feel strange today..

Don't get me wrong... I love the late model Corvettes and drool over them. I'd like to own one some day too, but the old saying holds true. "You seen one... You seen them all" They are cookie cutter examples. If they were unique in some big way that would be cool. But a whole row of C5 or C6 corvettes that all look exactly alike except different floor mats or seat belt fuzzy doesn't get it in my book for show cars.

Great pics, Don - some real beauties there.

Mojo for your grandmother, DB - good on ya for bringing her home - you will be glad you did, difficult as it will be.

That is wacky indeed, Bill - maybe I won't bitch about having to put the top back on the Vette because of a few isolated showers ;-)

It's looking like a lazy day here, but I need to be careful or that could change in a hurry. Enjoy your Sunday!

Thanks for the pictures. I know what you mean, but out here even stock Corvettes are something a bit rare.

Bill, your weather is even more strange than ours in Kansas.

DB, Hospice is a God-send.
