The Windy City Corvette Club is a easy going group. Forty or so Corvettes were on display Sunday. There was a preponderance of stock looking C6&C5's and only a hand full of 53-82's. No 1'st gen's . The bright over head sun and almost dead camera batteries didn't help with picture quality, but here's a few. The rain didn't occur 'till later which was good. Half a dozen or so mostly newer cars fled the raindrops. The "Shockwave" car won "Best of Show" and deserved it. The bronze '72? "best custom". An enjoyable day.

I agree with that. Typical car show 'garage queen'. There is at least one of these at every show. Some one with a lot of money to throw around, sometimes done with class, but usually overdone with about every gimmick that they can find on the car.

The man in the first picture is the vendor selling the "Shockwave" audio equipment. The vette showcased his wares. Nice guy to talk to. The sound from that car surpassed that of the D.J. there at the show. At least he didn't flee from the rain.

Nice pics, Joe. That shockwave car is a little over the top for me, but I like the paint scheme. If he toned it all down a little I'd be more impressed.

I was more impressed with the height of the trophies!!
My guys were whining about how much my trophies cost!! I should buy some of those 5 footers next time!

Nice photos. I'm not much for the super bling cars either. I had a few of them at my show this past weekend with one in the showroom. I counted at least 14 LCD screens on it.

Looked like a good turn out. Wish I could have been there!

The "Bling" stereo I'm sure sounded good, but in the forth picture down the box layout and the wire design looks bad. I would have spent a little more time with the presentation and design. Just looks sloppy!
