Happy Birthday Tommy.

I'm doing absolutely nothing today, burnt out (literally) from 10 hours at the racetrack yesterday. It was hot, 103 with not much time to stand in the shade.
We had 50 cars go thru tech with 2 inspectors, trying to get them thru before the 8:30 driver's meeting. Then instead of instructing with one group, I got 2 groups to ride with, novice and advanced. Ride in one car for a half hour, jump out and right into another car.

Had a guy show up in a new Ferrari, I wondered if he would
be the usual Ferrari driver. He was, didn't have a clue. Almost wrecked it 4 times in front of my driver. My guy was in a Honda Prelude, I asked him "How does it feel to be keeping up with a $250,000 Ferrari?".

The Ferrari's instructor was our Nissan GTR driver, in the last session he got into his GTR. I was in the Honda again. As we came into a corner, I saw yellow and black flags, The GTR driver has stopped on track and was throwing up on the track! I yelled at my driver " Don't hit the puke, you'll spin out!"

I've seen many obstacles on the race track before but, never had to worry about sliding in puke.

Hey Bill, starting things off a bit early? I couldn't sleep last night, was up for over an hour at around 3. As hot as it was , maybe the guy had heat sickness ???? I would love to come out and take some lessons someday...not that I want to get into racing necessarily, but because I'd like to learn more about handling these cars.

I'm going to take the Corvette up to where the car show is being held today, here pretty soon. Not that it starts soon, but because of the high temps that are predicted, I want to choose where I park. That's all I have planned for today.

Yea, I'm sure it was the heat. I went thru 10-12 bottles of water and didn't even take a leak.

Take your Vette to one of these, it will cost around $200. You'll be in the novice class, you drive with an instructor at the speed that you want to even if it's only 60 on the straights. I had a friend's wife enter her Suby, first time ever on a track, she couldn't stop smiling all day.

Good Morning All!
The highlight of my day so far is that I got to take a shower for the first time since Thursday!! It doesn't take much to make me happy! I took that ACE wrap off the knee and I'm ready to get back to business.

I have a credit towards a beginners "Prime Drive" HPDE through the National Corvette Museum which I didn't get to used three weeks ago due to my car being down. I hope to be able to get it on the track either in the fall or Spring. I really want to do this. Lots of my Vette buddies are already moving up in the ranks and getting more experience. Some are getting high speed licenses and learning how to handle their cars better. It seems more exciting than drag racing and a lot less harsh on the cars.

Hope you all have a good day!

Good Afternoon CGs!

Was actually up early this morning. Met up with my buddy and we did a run through the forest preserve. After a couple of miles, we stopped at a large stone stairs that is inset and did a few sets up and down (like 100 or so up) and then finished up another mile and a half. Absolutely killer. We were both spent at the end.

Ended up taking a nap with the baby today

It's hot and humid out so it looks like I'll be taking a dip in the pool later.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Birthday Tommy.

Spent the day washing and waxing and cleaning out the car. Swapped two plugs around from one cylinder to another. We had a thunderstorm roll through. So after all my hard work it got rained on. Once the rain stopped I dried it off. Been a pretty slow day otherwise.

Hope everyone has a great evening.
